Travel-Ling, Abu Dhabi (2026)

From the wintery conditions of Canberra, Australia, we decided to take a break from life and careers and moved to the tiny pueblo (village) of Pozoblanco, Spain, just outside of Córdoba in Andalusia. We wanted to really get to know the authentic Spain: more than bullfights, flamenco dancing and tapas. And so we found friendship, good food and the most amazing places! We also ended up visiting ever

ywhere from Istanbul to Amsterdam, Monaco to Morocco and everywhere in between. So now we devote our page to telling cool travel stories and bringing the best of Spain, Europe and all parts of the world to you!

Thank you to everyone who keeps checking in. It's hard to properly put into words about everything going on here, especially when each day is a bit of a roller-coaster.

𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚, 𝒘𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆.

We're encouraged to go about our lives as normal as we can, but remain vigilant and cautious. Kids are still playing outside, services continue, everything is still open and shelves are stocked. People are still smiling at strangers and our communities are staying connected and informed. Everyone is ready to help each other out. Life almost feels normal.

But there is no denying the underlying concern we have about everything going on around us and what is still to come. It is strange to feel calm and safe, but also scared and uncertain about the future at the same time. But right now, that is how it is, and it's ok.

There's still so much more to say and process, and maybe I'll share that in time. Until then, we're holding onto our loved ones tightly, and praying for the safety of all our friends and family 🙏

Another Italian trip down memory lane ❤️

We're excited to be visiting Italy again this summer, but honestly can't decide between Puglia or Sardinia 🤔 If anyone has been to either, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Include kid-friendly suggestions for bonus points 🙌

2025: What a year
At the time, it didn't feel like a lot happened, but looking back we:
• moved overseas (again)
• settled into a new life in Abu Dhabi
• made new friends
• explored parts of the region
• visited Australia and caught up with family and friends

It was a year filled with new challenges, but also plenty of rewards. Here's hoping 2026 will bring more wonderful experiences.

The less I post, the more I'm living...

Some big life milestones have recently happened:
1. We survived our first full summer in the UAE 🥵 Yes, it's definitely as hot and humid as people say, but we made it! We now understand why people make the most of the summer vacation to travel. Taking on suggestions where to go for summer - comment below! 🙌
2. We sold our family home in Australia 🏡🥹 This was a bitter-sweet moment, and we got teary when we received the call, but it was the right thing to do (I hope!) 🫶
3. I resigned from my job in Canberra and am now officially a "housewife" (as per my visa 😆). NGL, I was sad to close that chapter, and find it weird to have that listed as my occupation. I swear I'm working harder and longer hours now than I was back in Australia 🤪
4. Everything we own has now arrived in Abu Dhabi. 📦 Still working our way through all the boxes, but it's now feeling very real that we are here for the long run, and honestly, it's exciting 🤩
