🇮🇹 Sicily & Sardinia in the Middle East: A huge GRAZIE! 🇦🇪🇴🇲

What a week! Our networking Travel Breakfasts swept through Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat... and the travel trade showed up in full force! 🙌

We were thrilled to welcome such an incredible number of industry professionals who joined us to discover two of Italy’s most enchanting regions, now more accessible than ever from the UAE & Oman ✈️

In line with our mission to promote the best of Italian tourism in the GCC countries, last week our team successfully organized a B2B mission between local operators in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and 🇮🇹

The days of meetings culminated in the usual networking travel breakfast which took place at our offices followed by online B2B meetings in which friends of also participated!

Tourmeon has been the leading point of reference for the promotion of Italian tourism in the GCC countries for years, we collaborate successfully with national tourism bodies such as ENIT, regions such as Tuscany, Basilicata and Campania, event organizers such as Comitel and Travel Hasthag, various private operators and Local institutions in organizing events, workshops, roadshows, networking breakfasts and B2B meetings across the GCC countries.

Market data and statistics:
• According to a recent ENIT study, in 2022 travelers from the Middle East to Italy will increase by approximately +164% compared to the previous year and by +47.7% compared to 2019.
• The majority of tourist flows come from the United Arab Emirates (mainly Dubai) with an incidence of 32.7% on the total and a growth of 82.4% on 2021 (+34.1% on 2019).
• There are currently 96 weekly direct flights between the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah) and Italy (Milan, Rome, Bologna, Venice, Bergamo, Pisa, Naples, Catania and Olbia)
