The Kallur Lighthouse on Kalsoy in the Faroe Islands is one of the coolest places I have been in a while. You take a short ferry over from Klaksvík, hop off, and the hike up to the lighthouse is only 15 to 20 minutes. The whole time you feel like you’ve got the place completely to yourself. Sweeping views out across the ocean, misty cliffs, and those dramatic sea stacks fading into the fog. Biggest bonus? The cliffs around here are packed with puffins and seabirds. They’re everywhere once you get up there.If you’re planning a Faroe Islands trip, put this one high on the list. Minimal effort, maximum reward. Pure magic.

One of my favourite photos from our time in Namibia. Sossusvlei is landscape photography heaven with all of its natural forming patterns through the dunes and isolated trees given them scale from above. This was the first trip taking a bigger telephoto lens (150-600mm) which really helped for compressing the dunes against the trees

Spitzkoppe was one of those spots that’s honestly impossible to do justice with a camera. It’s a landscape photography dream with the unique rock sculptures, desert landscape and amazing starry nights.

We camped right in the middle of these massive granite boulders, rooftop tent tucked under the big peaks with desert stretching out in every direction. Hands down my favourite campsite in Namibia. Super wild, dead quiet, and nothing but rock all around us.

Etosha National Park in northern Namibia is defined by the vast Etosha Pan, a salt flat that shapes the entire ecosystem. In the dry season, wildlife gathers around scarce waterholes, making it one of the best places in Africa to observe animal behavior in the open.

From desert-adapted oryx to lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and a wide range of birdlife, the park’s sparse landscape makes every movement visible and intentional.

This was my first time using a 150–600mm lens and I really enjoyed the range it gave me, especially in a place like Etosha where distance is part of the experience.

Everyone goes to Bali. The waterfalls are in Lombok.
Sendang Gile sits on the lower slopes of Mount Rinjani, a 31 metre drop buried inside rainforest so thick you hear it long before you see it. 200 steps down, zero crowds, and the kind of mist that makes your camera lens fog the second you pull it out.

Raja Ampat. Over 1,500 islands, 75% of all known coral species, and the highest marine biodiversity ever recorded on earth.
Tucked into the far eastern edge of Indonesia, this archipelago sits at the heart of the Coral Triangle. The karst limestone islands you see here have been shaped over millions of years, rising out of water so clear you can see the reef from the viewpoint above. Most of the islands are uninhabited. Getting here takes multiple flights and a liveaboard or homestay boat, and that remoteness is exactly what’s kept it this pristine.

Not everywhere needs to be easy to reach.

Taj Mahal without the crowds! We couldn’t believe our luck in being the first visitors into the Taj Mahal. We stayed at Joeys Hostel (highly recommend), a 5 min walk from the gates and arrived 45 min before they open. It’s super important to remember to not take any backpack as this will need to be checked by security and slow you down. All we had was our cameras. As the gates opened we walked with a brisk pace to the entrance where just for a few moments we had the whole of the Taj Mahal to ourselves. After that we headed right to the west gate where you see most of these images have been taken. Most tourists hang around the front for quite some time which gave us 15-20 min to shoot with no one in sight. It was truly a magical experience.

The photos from across the river were taken at golden hour the evening before from the garden of Mehtab Bagh which is a 15 min tuktuk from the centre. I highly recommend it for a different perspective.

Waking up to orangutans in Borneo 🦧

Tanjung Puting National Park is one of the largest protected areas in Southeast Asia and home to thousands of critically endangered Bornean orangutans.

Many of the orangutans here are semi-wild — rescued or orphaned, then rehabilitated and released back into the forest. They roam freely but return to feeding platforms where rangers provide supplementary food. You’re not watching animals in enclosures. You’re standing in their home as they swing through the canopy above you.

Four days on a klotok boat with , drifting through blackwater rivers, sleeping under the stars, candlelit dinners on the water — and these quiet moments watching one of our closest relatives just exist.
