One YEAR ago today we left Austria on a flight back to the USA. Today comes with a lot of mixed emotions. We feel thankful for our experience abroad and how far we've come in just a year, but we also feel a little sad. Who would've thought that SO much could've changed in such a short amount of time? But despite the mixed emotions, we are grateful to be close to our family & friends, appreciative of the memories we've made in the past year and truly happy to be settled in our own magical little home, which is so festively decorated for the holidays

The time has come to say Auf Wiedersehen to Austria 😣 👋 What an adventure - but one of MANY! And of course, Surviving Europe isn't going anywhere. We've got SO many more stories to share and even more to experience!

Revisiting our lives abroad through Oktoberfest in the USA stirred up a lot of emotions. BUT, most importantly, it allowed us to create new traditions with great friends and combine our 2 very different worlds into one. And that is something worth prosting to! 🤗

For the past 2 weekends, we've been in full Oktoberfest mode 🍻 We hosted our very own Oktoberfest in our new home AND attended an Oktoberfest (in full lederhosen and dirndl of course!)

Hello FACEBOOK! We are back. After taking some time to resettle in the USA, we've returned to the travel/moving abroad world to continue to share our adventures.

Oh what a year it's been ✨ From the Northern Lights (x18!) to Italy road trips, ALL the travels in between and frolicking around the Austrian Alps like the locals that we were (🤗/😢) ➡ And NOW.. starting a whole new chapter in Philadelphia USA 🌏

It's been the most glorious whirlwind of all. But the very best part? No matter where we find ourselves (drinking wine in Tuscany OR picking out furniture at IKEA 😂), a new adventure awaits.

Can't even pretend we don't miss the MAGIC that is Austria, especially during the holiday season 💫🎄

What a whirwind its has been 💫 We've needed to step back, refocus and power through a lot of normally stressful tasks in the MOST fun way ever (to keep our sanity!) 🙌

In just 1 WEEK we.. ⤵
✔ Found our new home & new city to live in
✔ Bought a car (AND made it through the DMV)
✔ Rented a moving van and moved 3/4 of our things
✔ Got a bunch of furniture
✔ Went to an auction as first-timers (where we got more furniture)
✔ ..ALL while reuniting with friends & family

We are NOT wasting any time when it comes to adjusting to our new environment here. And we can't help but think that this motivation & quick problem solving is a direct result of our experience living abroad 👌

Hey guys! Sorry we've been quiet here (and on all social) lately. We are down to LESS than a week until we leave Austria 🙊😣 Our life lately has been taken over by these 5 things:

1) Packing/Shipping
2) Selling our things
3) Cleaning out our apartment
4) Spending time with friends & family
5) ...and Christmas Markets (gotta see em all!)

It's been a rollercoaster, to say the least. One that we'll tell you all about very soon...
