# 📍🇫🇷 Just spent a wonderful day wandering through Nancy, France—this place is a total gem!

From golden gates at Place Stanislas to unexpected modern art in the Museum of Fine Arts… I was in a beautiful time warp.

Some fun facts for you:

✨️ Nancy was once the capital of the Duchy of Lorraine.

✨️ It’s home to one of the most beautiful squares in Europe—UNESCO says so!

✨️ The city is a secret haven for Art Nouveau lovers.

✨️ You can literally walk from baroque grandeur to bold contemporary art in under 5 minutes.

✨️ Place Stanislas is named after a Polish king who became Duke of Lorraine—he gifted Nancy this square, and we’re still enjoying it centuries later.

Have you visited Nancy ?Would you add it to your France list?
I totally recommend it!

Menil House: A Haven of Artistic Inspiration 🎨

🌟 Exploring the Menil House was like stepping into a treasure trove of artistic wonders. From the works of Joan Miró and Rene Magritte to Picasso and Jackson Po***ck, and beyond, every corner held a masterpiece waiting to be discovered.

The modernist design by Philip Johnson provided the perfect backdrop for these renowned artworks, creating an atmosphere of awe and inspiration. It's a testament to the vision and passion of John and Dominique de Menil, whose legacy continues to enrich Houston's cultural landscape.

The Menil House served as the private residence of John and Dominique de Menil, prominent art collectors and philanthropists. The house is celebrated for its modernist design and minimalist aesthetic. Today, it is owned by the Menil Collection and occasionally used for special events and exhibitions.

Rothko Chapel: A Sanctuary of Serenity 🕊️

Tourist Mode On! 🌟 Stepping into the Rothko Chapel was a transcendent experience like no other. Surrounded by the powerful hues of Mark Rothko's paintings, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace wash over me.

The chapel's symmetrical design and minimalist aesthetic invited me to delve deep within myself, to reflect, and to simply be. It's a sacred space that resonates with the soul.

If you're ever in Houston, don't miss the opportunity to experience the beauty and tranquillity of the Rothko Chapel.

The Rothko Chapel is a spiritual space located near the Menil House. It was commissioned by the de Menils and completed in 1971. The chapel features 14 large-scale paintings by the abstract expressionist artist Mark Rothko, known for their profound use of colour and contemplative atmosphere.

The Rothko Chapel serves as an interfaith sanctuary and a centre for human rights advocacy, hosting a variety of programs, lectures, and performances focused on social justice and spirituality.

🦫Buc-ee's in Katy, Houston 🛍️

🌟 Yesterday, I made a short stop at the legendary Buc-ee's in Katy, Houston, and let me tell you, it was an experience! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with aisles upon aisles of goodies and the aroma of freshly made treats. But the highlight of my visit? The peppered beef jerky! 😋

With over 120 gas pumps and a sprawling 60,000 square feet of space, this place is not your average convenience store. It's a Texas icon! 🤠 From their immaculate restrooms to their friendly service, it's no wonder why Buc-ee's has such a cult following.

So, if you're ever cruising through Texas, make sure to add Buc-ee's to your itinerary. Trust me, you won't regret it! 🛣️
