Thanks to ABC Adelaide for sharing my shot of the comet over Brighton Jetty last week. I was beyond thrilled when I finally spotted it. I couldn’t have hoped for a better line up! ☄️

Life's too short to regret the things you didn't do ❤️
📷: This shot was taken three or four minutes before I noticed the sky exploding over my shoulder, to the west. I hastily spun 180°, changed lenses, set up the tripod and recomposed to capture the view of Mount Wellington behind Victoria Dock instead. On my Instagram page, I've posted a few shots of that incredible pink sunset over the mountain and the purple "blue" hour that followed. As amazing as that sky was, my heart dropped a little at seeing the magic continuing to unfold in the east. Unfortunately, with only one camera body, I didn't capture any more of it.

The good news is my camera had been underwater only 15 days earlier but it was still performing like a champ.

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me.....let's not discuss this year's Black Friday online binge shopping 🙈 Suffice to say I love myself very, VERY much 😅

And so do Oroton, Elizabeth Arden, Benro, Kase and Godox!

Anyhoo... here's a little something I purchased during the end of financial year sales back in June, specifically for my trip to Melbourne. As you can see, this purchase was highly thought out; an absolute need (not a want). The joy the expense has brought me has already paid in dividends! This little gremlin not only speaks to me, it is my spirit animal.

The perfect foreground subject for Southbank's famed Christmas display. (Famed, because we see the same decorations year in, year out 😬 I've heard of tradition but this is getting ridiculous, !)

The weather was not on my side on this particular night (ahem - morning). Fearing the wind would blow my little buddy into the Yarra 💦, I couldn't get as creative as I liked.

Shoutout to , who was the first to plant this Sandridge Bridge concept in my head, many years ago now. Merry Christmas, Craig! 🥂😄

It was seven months between visits but I did finally get back to Brighton Jetty a couple of Fridays back. Ten minutes walk along my street brings me out near the jetty but it might as well be a million miles away in 2024 😒

Just leaving this one here because I absolutely hate how FB crops profile pics, often throwing context out the window.

Why, yes, my very first OEL profile pic is actually me with my (late) Canon EOS 80D. The one that took me for a little swim in Tasmania soon after this photo was taken 💦💦

BTW... OEL = One Eyed Lizzy. It's a whole thing. Some people catch on, others ask questions.

Follow along if you enjoy in-jokes, love Australian landscapes and aren't afraid of humour that pushes PG 13+ and 12 inch boundaries.
