Deb and Rod embarked on setting up a website, with the guidance from a farmer friend, after travelling around Australia in 2009. "How we would have liked to have the safety and quiet of being inside a farmer's gate ra

ther than hidden in the bush or parked next to the noisy roads between towns!" Being passionate about supporting our own tourist industry and our farmers, setting up a connection like this website seemed the way to go. Thanks to our farmer friends Larry & Gail for their contribution towards setting up a secure and safe site for farmers."

Happiest of Fridays COF Farmers, Travellers and Followers!!
The newest farm on our map today is this beautiful spot in Springside, QLD. $15 a night, perfectly located for a safe peaceful overnight stay or for a few days while you explore. Plus it has Hairy Coos ... My Favourite! 😍
"8kms from Pittsworth in Queensland. Our farm comprises of 80 acres of undulating coolibah forest. We predominately breed highland and highland cross cattle for pets and commercial breeding. We also have horses, dogs, farm cats and chooks. We are approx 45 minutes from Toowoomba, renowned for the Carnival of Flowers held in September. Approx 45 minutes to Millmerran, a lovely little town that hosts the biennial Australian Camp Oven festival. Held in October. The Darling Downs Zoo is a beautiful small zoo 50 minutes from us. The famous Leyburn Sprints (car) are held in August each year, followed by the Pittsworth Sprints in September. Oakey, 35 minutes away has a magnificent Aviation Museum"

I heard about a farmer who had to stop telling funny stories about cows. He butchered every joke!

Perup, WA Opening Spring 2025!!!
Can't wait for this one !
Our Farm was established in 1950 by Kents Grandfather. Kent is now a 3rd generation beef and sheep farmer with his wife Nicole. Running around 300 head of Red Angus and Shorthorn cows and 500 shedding sheep. Farm Stay has been created so we can share with you the tranquility of the “old Ski Park’. There is a bit of a story to that and we would be happy to share it with you around the fire, down on the banks of the Perup River. Feel free to bring your Kayaks out for a paddle or the stand up paddle boards. There is an abundance of wildlife that live on the River and we are also not far away from the Perup Nature Reserve which is 56,000ha of native forest and home to woylies, numbats, tammar wallabies, western ringtail possums and many more native animals. If you are a lover of Orchids, we are too! we love to go orchid hunting in the spring and happy to share some of our favourite spots.

Imagine having all this space!!! The kids would sleep for days!!!! Beautiful Farm stay out in D'Aguilar, QLD. From $15 per night, better than being crammed into a Caravan Park for sure 😍
"Some details about our wonderful campsites on the edge of Woodford. We have two types of relaxing campsites available to suit your preferences. One is a self-sufficient, quiet spot near a creek and a dam, perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in nature. The other campsite offers powered sites ensuring a comfortable and quiet stay. Happy , Happy Friday COF!!!
Well, I’m hearing our COF Travellers are back on the road and keen to explore Australia and head for warmer climes. Although Tasmania is a great winter place to explore! (and Tasmanian Devils are devilishly charming 😊 ).Our COF Farmers will be pleased to meet a few more of you and show off their businesses too. Most will have finished seeding, and for SA we hope the rains arrive soon!

For members who have not accessed the COF map lately, remember you can call Deb for help if needed.

Our 2 new Farmers are not yet on the map but we’ll give you those details asap (one is still on holidays themselves!)

Hello COF Followers! It’s a while since I wrote a Friday post, but Kelly is flat out busy at the moment, so thought I’d say hello today. We are just waiting for some photos from one of the Farmers who has gone on to the website map in D’Aguilar and information from another new Farmer in Springside QLD, and then we’ll update you on their details this afternoon or next Friday? As some of you may be aware, Rod and I took 2 months off and Kelly has been managing the COF business alongside her full time job, and has done a great job! I’ve been speaking with our new Farmers and the half dozen that have renewed their membership since we got back and everyone is so complimentary of our Travellers, so thank you everyone!
Yes, there have been hassles with Councils for some… and I can see both sides of the problem when states have set regulations. We have spoken with a few Councils in the past and helped with local policies to encourage tourism without impacting Caravan parks negatively. It can work!
After our recent travels all I can say is, I love my map. I’d be lost without it. 😊 Stay safe everyone, Cheers Deb

Happy Friday COF! We've had a few emails from concerned members about the council crackdowns on farm stays. Please see the below article from Yahoo news that we have made comment on. Rest assured it is us, even though both our names were spelled incorrectly 😂 Pictured in the article is one of our beautiful farm stays, have been with us since 2015, not causing anyone any harm of course! We will continue to fight with and for our farmers and their right to do what they want with their own land!

Property owners looking to make some extra cash say they are being stifled by overhearing council demands.

Happy Easter from all of us at COF! We hope you have all had a great weekend, wherever you may be. I'm sure I have single handedly kept chocolate in business over the last few days😂 The parents are back from the UK so your phone calls may get answered quicker now!
This weekend I'm introducing a very handy and beautiful property, new to the COF family in Cardigan, VIC .
" This is not a farm, but we are nestled on a spacious three acre property that is a haven for your stay in Ballarat. Your furry friends are more than welcome too. There’s plenty of room at the front of the property, but if you prefer more privacy and/or more space the rear of the property is the pick. There’s a small dam here so children will need to be supervised. There’s plenty of shopping nearby and we’re only 10 minutes from the CBD"
