Sharing this generous review that a client recently posted on Google reviews after one of my Guided Bowral Walking Tours...
"This is a fabulous introduction to Bowral, which I heartily recommend. It includes Aboriginal history and significance, much about the controversial John Oxley, who was granted the land by Macquarie, then much about the arrival of the railway line, which was critical to the development of the town, and more recent developments. It included a geological analysis, which influenced the local architecture and that further afield. At least one building, which is built of iron, is one of the only two such in the world! There are several other fine and significant local buildings too, two of the architects having designed the magnificent quadrangle of Sydney University and the also magnificent Sydney Central Station respectively. I would not know almost any of this except for the tour. It was delivered with charm and grace, and it was excellently paced. I cannot recommend it highly enough."
