Sammy and I left Gawler on 8th November And headed to Port Adelaide before checking into the Brighton Beach caravan park for 2 days, where I met with Glen and Vicki for a quick catch up. Then we were off to Murray Bridge and Loxton along the Murray River.

Our next stop was Whyalla, another lovely seaside town of SA. Then onto Point Lowly to our camp for the night. It was also the night of the big moon. Then my final day hanging out with Linda at Port Augusta. I wasn’t very impressed with the town. Sammy and I continued to Port Germaine for a look around, onto Snowtown and Port Wakefield. Went out to Gawler for a free camp before heading into Adelaide to meet Glen and Vicki.

Day 172 of this trip saw us in Tumby bay. So much street art between here and Arno bay. We went to buy more oysters here...

Day 172 of this trip saw us in Tumby bay. So much street art between here and Arno bay. We went to buy more oysters here direct from the fishermen, unfortunately they haven’t had any oysters for months due to the Algai bloom in SA. Then onto Arno bay and Cowell.

We drove onto Locks well, a very steep drive down (Linda waited at the top). Once again beautiful scenery and a great lookout. Then onto Coffin bay for a feed of oysters. The weather was not so great but we had a good day, finished off with a seafood dinner at the pub. We then continued our journey to Port Lincoln.

Onto Murphys Haystacks, a truely amazing wonder of the world. We dropped into Venus bay for more water views. (are you seeing a theme here?) 😂 With beautiful blue skys and breathtaking water views. We have been so lucky with the weather. We continued on to Elliston, drive out to Salmon Point and saw plenty of art and sculptures along the way. (And more water). We stayed at Elliston Golf club for the night, high on the hill, gorgeous views for $10. And it was really hot on this night also.

Part 1: The start of the Nullarbor, only 1986klms to Adelaide .😁 we drove over the RFDS airstrip on the highway at least 4 or 5 times. Saw some spectacular views of the Southern coast. Sammy is loving our adventure 🐶😁
