And just like that.... Blue was here. Traveling has always been my biggest hobby, but since the 1st of February, it’s been joined by loving and staring at our baby! Welcome to this world, little boy, I cannot wait to show it to you. 💙

I have been very quiet lately on social media as I have been busy growing my company, but even more importantly: a little baby boy! 💙

The last 1,5 years have been proper life-changing on all fronts. After 11 years in Australia (which will always be my second home), my dad passed away, I got divorced, and I moved back to Europe to be closer to my family and friends.

Of course, I will keep my travel agency Book Travel and Tours going with the great help from Lian, as this is my other baby, but I am also aiming to take maternity leave. Very much looking forward to this new adventure!

How do you decide on what photo is the best? I clearly struggled as there are at least 400 Dusky dolphins to play with in Kaikoura! 🐬🐬🐬

This is the second time that I was able to swim with these fantastic creatures and they are just so much fun! If you play with the dolphins, they play with you!

My first day was on board of the
, a combination of being aboard on their boat and followed up with a 8km walk.

The next day was so different with who showed me the marine reserve and you can even see seals from your kayak!

Both amazing experiences and totally different! Lucky me 🍀

Queenstown you are a little stunner!

When in Queenstown you should totally visit the for a cold 🥶 drink.

And definitely visit Milford sound, it is a long drive and I was pretty happy to be on a coach with and not driving this myself over all the windy roads.

Yay, finally saw the Wanaka tree with my own eyes!

Enjoyed a very hot 🥵 hot-tub at 40 degrees and had dinner at the best restaurant in Wanaka called Kika!

It is so good to be back in New Zealand!

When you just have the best weather at pretty Lake McKenzie (the traditional lakes name is Boorangoora)!

It is a very special lake as it only contains rainwater, no groundwater, is not fed by streams or the ocean.

You can find this stunning lake at Fraser Island, the biggest sand island in the world!

Who is Book Travel and Tours?

I LOVE traveling! Who Am I? I was born and raised in the Netherlands. Luckily enough, I can call beautiful Australia my home since 2010. And I love, LOVE traveling! You can never travel enough. I traveled around Australia almost twice and in different ways such as with buses, on tours and by car. There are so many options when it comes to traveling in Australia but also everywhere in the world! You can go for guided groups, or maybe you prefer the small hostels and local transport. I’ll give you honest and real travel advice based on my own personal experiences. Call me more of a travel guru than a travel agent! Any questions about traveling please always let me know!

I have worked for the biggest backpacker travel agency in Australia and New Zealand for 6 years and since 2017 I have been helping my friends and family out with travel all over the world. Well, this is how it started, word of mouth is massive and especially with Dutch people.
