Hey everyone,

What do you look for in a travel agent (if you use one?) it is the friendliness? Is it is it because they gives gifts (such as lanyards for cruises?) or is it because they know what they’re talking about? Would you prefer to seek an agent that knows their stuff for a particular type of travel (ie.Disney, Cruises or Japan).

If you don’t use one, why? Is it because of Covid (and deposits/money was lost?) Because you previously used one and had a bad experience once on your travels?

Trying to see what I am missing in terms of how Wife Life Travels can go that extra step for my clientele.

Please share this as well so I can get as much information as possible.

Cairns today!

Last time I was here, I zip lined over a Croc at the Casino at the Wildlife Dome. This time round, the dome was unfortunately closed due to Reno’s so we visited the Cairns Aquarium with the kids and this time did a tour at Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre.

The amazing work these guys do with our Native Turtles and to have rescued over 600 turtles since 2000 and have a 90% release rate is something they should definitely be proud of.

This is definitely something to do in Cairns if you want to do your bit for the wildlife.

And can’t forget the artwork that are all throughout the streets of Cairns!

Now we have 3 days at sea (with a cruise past Willis Island) and we’ll be back in Sydney.

Moreton Island (Tangalooma Resort) is our first stop for our 9 night Great Barrier Reef cruise onboard .

Weather isn’t the greatest but that’s ok. Kids are still ready to have some fun.

How great is this!!!!

We are super excited to announce that Qantas and Jetstar have received their approval to provide air services to Vanuatu from Australia for at least the next 5 years.

This is a huge leap forward in the right direction for Vanuatu.

Here are the key dates:

10 September 2024 – Qantas to commence up to 3 flights per week from Brisbane to Vanuatu

12 December 2024 – Jetstar to commence 4 flights per week from Sydney to Vanuatu

December/January Peak Periods – Qantas to add an additional 2 flights per week from Brisbane to Vanuatu

In the meantime Virgin Australia continues to offer 5 to 6 flights per week from Brisbane to Vanuatu and Solomon Airlines is operating 2 flights per week from Auckland to Vanuatu.

Just a quick PSA

If you have an invoice due and are paying via payID or bank transfer, PLEASE do not leave it until the last moment. If you are wanting to pay by card, then can you please let me know so I can process this payment over the phone.

Just as I’ve been noticing some delays in payments from banks over the last few weeks and I unfortunately cannot extend the final payment date which will mean that the booking will automatically cancel on my suppliers end and any money paid will be forfeited.

And for some suppliers (cruise lines), they have waitlists to which someone else will get your room due to the popularity of that sailing.
