One of the sought-after subjects for macro photography while in Singapore. These gorgeous orb-weavers have quite a variance of colour morphs depending on location. I've seen both a red and yellow morph but this one seems to be somewhere in the middle.

One of the cleverest ambush predators of the arachnid world. These spiders lie in wait, usually on flowers and wait for pollinators like bees or flies to visit the flowers. They don't stand much of a chance against these awesome predators. Happy Thomisidae Tuesday!

Recently on our Annual Members weekend we spotted this gorgeous collection of freshly emerged True Bugs. They had just hatched and are still sticking closeby to their eggs. In the next day or so they will start to disperse into the big bad bug world.

Recently on a Let's Go Buggin Night Walk we had a sudden appearance of this species. It's like they fell out of the trees and were on the ground! Perhaps it was mating season? The next night they were gone! Very curious!

Spider verses Spider... clearly the Jumping Spider was the winner of this kill or be killed contest! They are the bravest little hunters and we often see them with prey on the morning walks, especially in the winter months.
