There's so much to 💚 about the wonder that surrounds Tourism Cape York, but, if you ask us, it’s the deserted beaches and views for days that make it more than worth the journey up north! 👉 Flanked by leaning coconut trees, the snow-white sands and turquoise waters of Chilli Beach are picture perfect, and the campground here is one of the most stunning you'll find on the Cape. Plus, did you know that it's home to the most northern campground in Australia.com?

If you're going to the mouth of the Jardine River, don't try and catch fish at high tide like I did. All your likely to get is catfish and Longtoms 😞
Wait for low tide and walk out to the sand bars past the mouth- saw something huge which must have been a Groper, plus lots of decent school fish. Ended up landing a Shovel Nosed Shark and a Stingray; wish I'd had more time to keep flicking lures.
Awesome place to camp too. Even ran into the All 4 Adventure crew doing some filming.

So I just finished doing the OTT south to north. I'm not going to rant on about new tracks and damage as there doesn't seem to be much interest/concern, but I will post a few pics of the new exit at Gunshot since I said I'd check it out.
It's not an environmental disaster, it's unnecessary at best, and shouldn't have happened since the other exit is fine; the people who made this should have considered going around.
Sad to see someone decided to leave a canopy in the campground there 😐
