Cruise ship captains tend to fit into two categories quiet and unassuming or funny and ever present. Captain Derek Gray definitely sits well and truly in the latter category!

Always visible around the ship, sometimes it's like there is more than one of him, and if you can't see him, you will definitely hear him.

His announcements throughout the day are legendary and they are always delivered with a naughty joke or two. It is nearly 4 years since he joined Marella and his popularity is clear for everyone to see!
