Hully Liveris Design Company Architecture - HLDC An innovative architectural practice located in Darwin, Northern Territory. HLDC was founded in 1993 by Michael "Hully" Liveris.

Since then, the company has evolved into an award-winning architectural practice which specialises in unique contemporary tropical-built environments. Hully derives inspiration from architectural and landscape precedents and has professional experience in Sydney, Magnetic Island, Townsville and Brisbane.

HLDC is proud to announce that in addition to the Reverend John Flynn Award, Hully Liveris was awarded the Tracy Memorial Award, the highest honour at the Northern Territory Architecture Awards. Speaking on the legacy of the project, Hully remarked “The project was pre-pandemic, but has really reinforced that the Australian community is our community. Growing up in Darwin, this has always been our community. We have a wonderful government who has supported this project and turned visitation from hundreds a week to thousands a week.”

It is an honour to have won the prestigious 2020 NT Chapter AIA Tracy Memorial Award for Darwin High School's STEAM Building, alongside Jackman Gooden Architects. The building is a derivative of past students and Darwin locals, dedication and incredible work. The education hub hosts numerous faculties and importantly, encourages easy ideation, testing, group and individual work, pitch to peers and entrepreneurs, proceeding directly into prototyping and micro-manufacturing.

Hully Liveris has just completed a remarkable new building for the George Brown Botanic Gardens, which is one of the most significant structures to be built there in living memory.
Gone is the standard toilet block which has now been elevated via the unexpected use of copper and stainless mini orb, rusting steel, aluminium louvres and safety perf.
