Floriade kicks off TOMORROW here in Canberra — and we’re about to trade for 9 DAYS STRAIGHT!
And yep… the pre-event panic is officially setting in. 😂

Do we have enough stock?
What if we sell out?
What if we’ve brought way too much?!

I get this feeling before EVERY big event. No matter how much planning, ordering and preparation we do, there’s always that little voice going, “But have we got enough?!”

🌷 Floriade starts tomorrow - 9.30am to 5.30pm each day, we are here until the 20th of September.

🌸 One Million Blooms
🌸 Commonwealth Park in Canberra, ACT
🌸 This year’s theme — Feast of Flowers
🌸 And somewhere amongst all of that… US!

We’ll be trading from Saturday 12th September through to Sunday 20th September.

That’s 9 DAYS STRAIGHT. Our longest event EVER.

There has to be a better option… 💸

For those who travel overseas regularly — what bank or travel card are you using to withdraw cash?

I currently use a CBA Travel Money Card, and while it works well, the ATM fees are a bit rich!

Most withdrawals here in Vietnam have been costing me around $5 AUD, but yesterday I had to use a different ATM and it cost me $8 just to withdraw my own money. 😳

Surely there’s a better option out there with lower (or even no) international ATM fees?

Would love to hear what everyone else uses when travelling overseas! 👇

It doesn’t happen often - but it can.

This was a Vinasun Taxi - have used these multiple times and never had a problem until today.

The other alternative for getting around is Grab - it’s basically like Uber.

Long story - but a real one!

Our Review of VinWonders Phu Quoc 🎢🇻🇳

Well… where do you even start with this place? VinWonders Phu Quoc is MASSIVE but bloody amazing!

It’s often part of the reason Phu Quoc gets called the “Disneyland of Vietnam” and whilst we have never been to Disneyland there is elements here that certainly reference it.

We visited as part of our 2-Day Unlimited Pass, which cost us around $200 AUD for the two of us and also included Vinpearl Safari and some other extras.

🎢 THE RIDES & ATTRACTIONS
There’s a mixture of thrill rides, rollercoasters and more family-friendly rides, so you certainly don't need to be an adrenaline ju**ie to enjoy it. We went on the Giant Ferris Wheel, some other shooting fun spooky ride that we kind of stumbled upon and thought let’s just do and the kiddy train!

One thing we noticed was that because we’re visiting during rainy season, the park wasn't overly crowded. That meant we weren't spending hours standing in queues, which was a HUGE bonus!

🐠 THE AQUARIUM
One of the standout attractions is the huge turtle-shaped aquarium.
It's absolutely enormous inside with different marine-life areas, underwater viewing and plenty to wander through.

It’s air conditioned which is good too! The Mermaid Show is a highlight but you basically need to pay to get a good viewing spot. We don’t do that so it really wasn’t as enjoyable for us.

💦 THE WATER PARK
There’s an entire water park inside VinWonders.
There are water slides, pools and attractions, so you could easily spend a decent chunk of your day just in this section. Plus it was bloody humid as hell so it does pay to cool off. You can rent a towel and locker for the day.

🏰 THE PARK ITSELF
The park is divided into different themed areas, and honestly, just walking around and looking at everything is an experience in itself.

It's colourful, clean, incredibly well maintained and there is A LOT of attention to detail.

👟 WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES!
You will do some serious walking. We did about 15000 steps for the day.
Thankfully there are places to stop for food, drinks and a break throughout the park, but definitely expect to get your steps up.

The cost for food and drink is ridiculously cheap. You get a food voucher with your ticket as well - bottles of water cost like $1 AUD and ice creams were $1.50 AUD, meals under $10 AUD.

SO, WHAT DID WE THINK?
We were genuinely impressed. This place was the main reason we came to Phu Quoc Island.

There is a night time light show that is really magical and brings to light the castle. The story was told in Vietnamese so didn’t really know what they were saying but the images, lights and using your imagination tell the story.

⭐️We rated it 4.5 stars out of 5⭐️
