Just back from Hawaii and this is WHY I PREFER Cruising.
Long flights - 12 hours from Adelaide to Hawaii
Air fares - Premium Economy - $2500 each = $5000
Hotel - 14 days - $231 per night for 7 nights = $1617
$249 per night for 6 nights = $1494
$488.04 per night for 2 nights = $976.08
Total = $4087.08
These prices didn't include resort fees or taxes or Early check in
These costs were approximately $2000
Food and Drinks were not included and it was very expensive - we spent approximately $250 per day = $3500
Spending on tours and shopping approximately $3500
Pearl Harbor was worth every cent
Total Cost = approximately $18087
For my last cruise - Melbourne Cup 2025 6 nights
Airfares = 2 hours flights from Adelaide to Sydney $400 per person return
1 night hotel - $250
Cruise - Balcony cabin, all meals, general admission to Flemington race track on Melbourne Cup day with bus transfers
Drinks package (soft drinks) $119 each but used my onboard credit for this
Nail Salon visit $144 covered by onboard credit
Total cost for cruise = approximately $8000 for two people
Other costs Uber $60, spending money $1240
Total cost for Cruise = approximately $10,000
