📍Darlington Park and Burgess Park camping ground, Qld
A little over an hour from the Gold Coast and around 1.5 hours from Brisbane, this little gem on the banks of the Albert River was the perfect spot for our first adventure in Vinnie Vanngo! 🚌💨
The river here is right near where it starts, so it’s crystal clear and beautiful… not the usual brown snake we’re used to 🤣💦 The perfect spot for a swim, when it’s a little warmer 🥶
There’s heaps of space to spread out, plenty of room for the pets 🐶, and you can pick your own spot, light a fire in the provided fire pits and just sit back and relax. We loved watching the birds and the horses across the river and just taking in the tranquil setting 💆♀️🐴🔥
The camp hosts were absolutely lovely too ✨
It was the perfect place to put Vinnie through his paces and try out all the things we’ve never had before: diesel heater, Starlink, inverter, toilet and shower… ✅
All in all, a pretty fabulous first trip away in our new home on wheels. And lucky for us, the rain stayed away because… “If it’s raining, we’re leaving!” 🤣🚌💨
