No better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than chilling in Broadbeach at Oro by Sogno Italiano in Broadbeach. Owned by cousins PJ and Sushil, this restaurant has a gorgeous fit out and food to match. Locally sourced seafood and homemade pasta make this a place we frequent often. Do yourself a favour, if you haven’t been, you need to.

After seeing the heartwarming post from and how hard the family have worked to create their dream, I knew we had to visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were delighted that every dish is gluten free, so our GF friends could enjoy without worry.

Dishes we tried included:
Coffin Bay Oysters with Ponzu Dressing
Sashimi (med)
Roast Wagyu (Tataki Style)
Agedashi Tofu
Fried Calamari with Ponzu
Chicken Karaage (small) with teriyaki mayo
Grilled Blue Fin Tuna
Kakuni Braised PORK Belly with soft boiled soy egg

Everything was Oishii!! thanks so much for a wonderful evening, we’ll see you again soon.

Good to note:

The decor is gorgeous, minimalistic with lots of wood, a cosy feel and an open kitchen. Pleasantly surprised that there is a toilet onsite which is not always a given!

Also, there’s a parking lot out the back and was plenty of street parking the night we visited, but we can’t wait til the tram is up and running!

Some things never disappoint and Mamasan is one of those things….. From the tuna taco to old favourites like the spanner crab and prawn dumplings and the satay chicken. Finished off with Mamasan’s signature brownie as a birthday treat. Perfection on a plate, thank you MAMASAN for a wonderful afternoon.

So happy to welcome to Broadbeach. Beautiful Italian restaurant on Surf Parade with delicious food to match the stylish new fit out. Lovely to watch pasta being made fresh! Delicious dishes with gnocchi and risotto just like Nonna used to make with fresh seafood and simple, traditional flavours. Secluded, private dining area available for those special occasions.

With live music on the weekends, if there is one Italian restaurant to have on your list to visit this year, this is it. Loved every dish we ordered, we will be back! Thanks for a fabulous meal and a great start to the weekend 🙌🍝🍷🦐

What better way to spend a day than enjoying magnificent seafood on a beautiful day at .seafood in Nobby Beach.

So many dishes to choose, our favourites were;-

* The Sashimi Bomb was just that a bomb of flavour and highly recommended! A delightful mix of tuna and salmon sashimi, with diced pear, chives, eshallots, pani puri and chilli coconut dressing, OMG 😋

* Panko crumbed oysters, crispy and fresh with a yuzu mayo

* Grilled Scallops with miso butter, an absolute winning dish

* XO chilli mussels with bacon XO, tomato caper sauce, thai basil served with crusty bread to mop up the delicious sauce

* Grilled king prawns with asian butter were grilled to perfection, juicy and full of flavour

So happy my husband finally took me to his favourite lunch spot!

It’s been along time since we visited Can Tho Kitchen in Runaway Bay. Great they open for lunch now which gave us an opportunity to visit again!

Quaint restaurant, authentic Vietnamese. Well worth a visit, the chilli dim sums are a must 😋
