My name is Jess and I love nothing more than sitting down with a bottomless cup of coffee and my sketchbook. From these sessions of endless ponderings and scribbles come the pretty things you find at Winnfreds Daughter. I started up ‘Winnie’s’ as a way of getting my ideas (which are mostly inspired by my life experiences and memories) out of my head and into my hands. Now that I have found my love, I can't let go- makings things has taken hold!

Let's use my new Robin Rushwood vinyl sticker to decorate a pretty spread in my memory keeping journal. On this day, Mum and I headed up to Mount Tamborine to visit birchgrove nursery and get some lunch at Franquette on the Gallery Walk. I like to keep paper weavings handy (it's a great, activity to do when you need something to do to switch off), to use for backgrounds like this- they bring so much pretty texture to a page.
I did also trim the white edge of the Robin sticker, it suited the page better.
These stickers are available in the shop now ☘️

Hello dears,
For today's crafty project, we're turning three small 🍇 cushions, into one giant grape cushion. I bought these from Typo Australia on clearance last year, and I'm finally getting them all sewn together. I love how this turned out, BUT, should we bedazzle the leaves????

Let's use my beautiful new 'Blue of Feather and Fancy' vinyl sticker to decorate a mail themed spread in the Three Colours Art Journal.
These lush stickers are available in the shop now 🐦💌🎀

Well dears, I got the first WD Craft Along video all ready to go for this afternoon!!! Join me at 5pm over on YouTube as we start working on our Greeting Card Accordion Journals! See my previous reel for a rough list of supplies and use to share your progress so we can all craft together!

I'm so excited to be bringing you a fresh new YouTube video this week (🥳) Midway through filming it today, I decided why not make it a craft along so we can all create something special together!?
I will let you know when it's going live and we'll be using to share our projects along the way.
In this week's session, we'll be using greeting cards to make an accordion style signature and coordinating gift wrap and yarn to build the cover.
To work along this week you'll need the following (though, as with all my projects, everything is adaptable - use what you have and get creative);-
🤎 A selection of new or used greeting cards - they don't have to match or be the same size, but feel free to choose a theme if you like
🤎 Some gift wrapping paper or pretty paper you feel works with your greeting cards
🤎 Yarn, string, twine or embroidery floss (enough to do a blanket stitch around the perimeter of your cover pieces
🤎 Scrappy cardboard to reinforce the cover (I used a cereal box)
🤎 All the usual journaling tools (including wet and dry glue), as well as Gel Matte Medium (or Mod Podge), an awl (or pokey tool) and a needle to suit your thread choice
I look forward to seeing you over on YouTube on Sunday dears, let's make something beautiful together 👏

Time for the cutest lil crafting sesh as we add the most delightful selection of cat_rabbit patches and pins to the cover of my memory keeping journal!
I love how this turned out and how the bling on the spine makes it look on the shelf.
Let me know if you try this one one of your journals 📚
