You Can't Sleep Here Experiences, reviews, tips, and challenges of travelling the world on a budget and figuring out where we CAN sleep. But we're doing it anyway!

You Can't Sleep Here originated at Del Mar Pizza, in Del Mar, California, USA. Ben and I were planning our upcoming adventures (travelling through Africa then moving across the world to Australia) and we had camped out so long at the pizza joint and become so comfortable in the booth the pizza man told us "You Can't Sleep Here". From that point on it was our mission to find out where we could slee

p, not only in the US, but around the world. We obviously love to travel, and have done some significant travelling on our own and now combined. I know how cliché that is to say these days, and to top it off having a page, blog, etc., about how much we love travelling. We appreciate reading other traveller's first hand experiences and tips about a new location, so we are putting this out there and you can choose to read it, skim it, or block it entirely. Our hope is to contribute our experiences and entice others to travel to some of these amazing destinations. We hope you enjoy.

**NOTE** January 2011 - October 2012 is not as detailed as I would like. I kept a travel journal, however, was not as specific about cost, tips, and if I would recommend it to others. From now on (October 2012), we will provide more useful information.

Burleigh Brewery released their FigJam IPA, went to check it out at 1 of the 4 places it is being sold on the Gold Coast. Paired the beer with a steak sandwich...will be back to The Hub again for more tasty food.

Below is where we have been so far...the information is not as detailed as we would like. We are happy to answer any specific questions you may have about a particular place we have visited.
Stay tuned October 2012 - February 2013 for: Noosa, USA, Sydney, South Africa self drive from Durban to Cape Town, maybe Namibia, Rwanda, Kenya, Egypt, and Turkey.
June 2013 - July 2013: Russia and train through various European countries still TBD.

Purpose/Activity: Cheap flight back to Gold Coast. Wanted to check out the area and see if we like it for another visit or possibly move.
Lodging: Airport B&B (http://www.accommodation-perthairport.com/) $100 for a share bathroom! Cute B&B, very comfortable, just far from everything but the airport.
Restaurants: Char Char for Benny's steak, Kaili's for my fish & chips, The Dome for pancakes, calamari salad, and a slice, Little Creatures Brewery for pale ale, free secret batch, and free beach cruise ride along the coast.
Purchases: Beer, bus tickets, food.
Transportation: Public bus, B&B car, train from Fremantle to Perth CBD, Little Creatures beach cruisers, feet to airport.
Weather: Warm, sunny, windy.

Purpose/Activity: SUNSHINE!!! Relax, sit on the beach, thaw out our bones. Sanya has been taken over with Russian tourists. Everything is written in Chinese or Russian, very confusing.
Lodging: Sunny Sanya Family Inn (http://www.sunnysanya.com).
Restaurants: Hotel brekky, Dolphin bar (An American themed bar, we ate there twice), McDonald's, Pizza Hut (Actually very good and very popular place to eat in Sanya), Specialty Shops Ice Cream 50cents, Casa Mia (good Italian food), Hotpot, random mall food and beer market.
Purchases: Food, beer, 10 tourist outfits to be worn at the Rugby 7s tournaments, coconut candy, coconut, sunnies for Benny.
Transportation: Taxi, #18 bus to Yalong Bay, #5 Rainbow bus to McDonald's in downtown Sanya, train to Haikou.
Weather: Sunny 2/6 days, pleasant, not too cold.
