A very big welcome goes out to the new members that have now joined Home Swap and Rent
I have had such a big response over the last 24 hours its been fantastic, it is so nice to see that people understand the endless possibility of free accommodation when they travel.
Yes we do also offer a rental side on the website where home owners can let out their holiday properties as well, but we urge them to keep the costs lower than normal hotels and motels. So that anyone that cant home swap for what ever reason can still at least still enjoy cheaper holidays around the world
The saving is endless when you either home swap holiday or rent out a holiday home with Home Swap and Rent. You literally save every time you travel the country that you live in, or whether you travel the world.
It just makes more sense than spending so much on hotel rooms. that when you look at it you literally are only there to shower and sleep while you are on holiday.
lets take the average family of four for instance when you work out the accommodation fees for the hotel that you stay in. Plus eating out because the room has not got the full size kitchen that you need to be able to provide the meals for the family. Well you might as well double or even triple the amount that its cost you for that room to stay in

It works like this you list your home on our site and become a member of www.homeswaprent.com Once you are a member you can then communicate with other members to organise the home swap holiday or maybe renting some ones holiday home
We at home swap and rent leave you to organise every thing we literally just get out of the way and that's why there are no admin charges or extra booking fees. it is literally you join, you then search for a suitable property, you contact the owner through our site and work out the finer details of your holiday between each other
Once that is done its just a matter of waiting till your holiday comes around and then having a fantastic cheap holiday experience
Now the main question I am always asked is how do we exchange the house keys. There are many ways to achieve this its up to you to arrange but ill give you a few tips
The next door neighbour could hold on the keys for you and give them to the other holiday family . If you live in a complex leave them with the manager in their secure office, as I'm sure you will have to let the manager know about the holiday swap anyway. You could have spare keys cut and even post them ( if you do this I highly suggest that you pay the extra so that they have to be signed for at the other end)
Some home swappers have even been know to arrange travel plans so that they can either meet at one of the airports that will be used by both families or they even arrange it so that one family arrives at the other persons house first so they all get to meet and then the other party head off the next day
the other question I get asked is "but I only rent my home can I home swap ' well the answer is yes. What happens now when you go away and you need some one to look after the pets.
I bet you let the landlord know that your going away for a holiday and someone will be staying there to keep a eye on their house well its exactly the same when it comes to home swapping.
Not only are you having a great holiday but you are looking after some ones house while they are away as well
