📍Storm Bay, Tasmania
🌊 A heartfelt thank you to Friends of the Bay, recipients of a grant from the global salmon farming resistance, for inviting me aboard Tasmanian Wild Seafood Adventures “Cuttlefish”, to visit Storm Bay and the Black Jack Coast.

Experiencing these remarkable home waters of my backyard reinforced just how important they are for wildlife, wild fisheries, recreation, tourism, and future generations of Tasmanians.

Friends of the Bay continue to play an important role in raising awareness about the values of Tasmania’s coastal and marine environments and the need to protect them.

Keep Tassie Wild.
No More Fish Farms.

📍Protect Storm Bay & Black Jack Coast
🚯Keep industrial fish farms out of Tasmania’s waterways.
⛑️Clean water. Wild coastlines. Healthy marine ecosystems.

Tasmania’s tourism industry is built on what makes this island unique — pristine waterways, thriving wildlife, spectacular landscapes, and authentic wilderness experiences. Protecting these natural assets protects Tasmania’s future.

When exploring Tasmania’s wild places, embrace the principles promoted by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service and supported across Tasmania’s nature-based tourism sector:

👉Come down for air.
👉Explore the unexpected.
👉Leave no trace.

Take only photographs. Leave only footprints. Respect wildlife, waterways, and wilderness so future generations can experience Tasmania’s remarkable natural heritage.

📍 Tasmania, Australia
🌫️ Foggy forest reflections
💎 Water so clear it barely seems real

Have you ever visited a place that felt completely untouched?

The stillness. The colour. The silence.

Just nature doing what it does best.

🤎 Protected native wildlife
🌿 Leave wildlife wild

This beautiful Spotted-tailed Quoll decided the wheel arch of the vehicle was the perfect place to shelter from the weather. These elusive predators are rarely seen and play an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems.

A reminder to always check around your vehicle before heading off in wilderness areas — you never know who might have moved in overnight.

📍Tasmanian Wilderness
🖤 Forest Raven (Corvus tasmanicus)
📷 A moment of stillness in the untamed landscape

With its striking pale eyes and glossy black plumage, this intelligent bird is one of Tasmania’s most iconic high-country residents.

Often seen soaring over rugged landscapes or perched among ancient rocks, the Forest Raven is a master survivor—curious, adaptable, and deeply connected to the wild places it calls home.
