Discover Marlo, where the Snowy River meets the sea in one of East Gippslandโ€™s most naturally beautiful corners ๐ŸŒŠ. Surrounded by estuary, ocean and coastal bushland ๐ŸŒฟ, this laid-back town is made for slow adventures and big scenery.

Paddle a kayak ๐Ÿ›ถ along the calm waters of the Snowy River estuary, wander the Snowy River Estuary Walk ๐Ÿšถโ€โžก๏ธ or head into nearby Cape Conran Coastal Park for the scenic Cape Conran Nature Trail ๐Ÿฅพ. Stop by Salmon Rocks to take in rugged coastal views and watch waves crash against the shoreline โœจ.

Whether youโ€™re exploring on foot, out on the water or simply soaking up the peaceful atmosphere, Marlo is the kind of place that invites you to stay a little longer ๐Ÿš.

Absolute waterfront views is an understatement when you're dining on the floating restaurant ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ, Sodafish.

This water-loving town has plenty to give and is a must for anyone who is a slave to the tides ๐ŸŒŠ. Stroll the esplanade, visit the foreshore market, take a dip in the eastern edge of Ninety Mile Beach, jump aboard a cruise ๐Ÿšค, or get a view of the lakes from a helicopter tour . No visit to Lakes is complete without fish and chips ๐ŸŸ - either a decadent seafood feast or wrapped in paper, eaten with fingers, on the sand.

Breathe in the serenity of beautiful Mallacoota ๐ŸŒŠ. Tucked away in far East Gippsland, this coastal town is made for slow mornings, salty air and peaceful moments by the water.

Spend the day stretched out on the jetty ๐ŸŽฃ, watching the gentle waves roll in as pelicans glide past and the town slows to natureโ€™s pace.

Sip your way through Twin Rivers, where rolling vineyards, cellar doors and country landscapes create one of East Gippslandโ€™s most relaxed wine escapes ๐Ÿท. Known as a rich food bowl, this fertile pocket where the Tambo and Mitchell Rivers meet is bursting with flavour, from cherries and stone fruit to crisp apples ๐ŸŽ and pears.

Spend the day winery hopping between boutique cellar doors, enjoying long lunches, tasting paddock-to-plate produce and soaking up vineyard views ๐Ÿ‡.

Between tastings, slow the pace with a kayak paddle along the calm river waterways ๐Ÿ›ถ. With scenic drives, open countryside and welcoming makers along the way, Twin Rivers is the kind of place best explored slowly.

What a day for chasing waterfalls! ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Basin Creek Falls is not far from Buchan, in the Snowy River National Park ๐ŸŒฟ. The 2.6km (return) out-and-back walk ๐Ÿšถ follows a steep track down through heavenly-scented bush to the base of Basin Creek Falls.

Nearing the base of the majestic single-span falls, youโ€™ll find a grassy clearing to enjoy a picnic ๐Ÿฅช with views of the waterfall to the north and the mighty Snowy River to the south.

You'll find Raymond Creek Falls ๐Ÿ’ฆ deep in the Snowy River National Park, so expect a magical landscape, far from the beaten track ๐Ÿฅพ. The falls are tucked away in a secluded corner of the park ๐ŸŒฟ, so you wonโ€™t see many fellow travellers. The Raymond Creek Falls hike ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ is short, steep and well worth the effort.

Starting at the picnic area, the hike is 1km return ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ. To get another perspective from the halfway point, continue a further 300m to the bottom of the falls.
