Visit the Dunbogan Boatshed, a beloved community hub that has been serving the area since 1937. Recently taken over by Kristy and Malcolm Bell, who previously ran North Haven Takeaway, the Boatshed offers a stunning outlook, marina services, and a pet-friendly atmosphere.
Enjoy coffee, milkshakes, ice creams, and savoury snacks while relaxing on the deck. Kids will love feeding the large school of Bream fish or playing on the nearby sandy beach when the tide is right.
With boat hire options, bait, tackle, and beach toys available, the Dunbogan Boatshed is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy Camden Havenโs beauty. Open daily from 9am to 4pm.

For a top fishing experience, try the North Haven break wall for bream and luderick, or the north wall for big mulloway at high tide.
Grab bait and tackle from North Haven Bait and Tackle or the Dunbogan Boatshed, where you can also grab a coffee and let the kids feed the fish.
For visitors, North Haven caravan parks offer great facilities with easy access to the break walls and beachfront, making it easy to enjoy a fishing getaway.

Camden Haven 2025: Live Local, Love Local
This year letโs shift the way we see our backyard, our theme for the year is simple...Love Local, Live Local.
Camden Haven isnโt just a destination; itโs a thriving ecosystem and community of local talent, flavours, and traditions that deserves to be celebrated.
In 2025, letโs make it the year we love local like never before.
Think about your morning coffee. That perfectly brewed cup isnโt just a pick-me-up...itโs a lifeline for a family-run cafรฉ in Laurieton.
Every slice of fresh sourdough, every boutique find, every market treasure, itโs all part of a bigger story, one that connects you to your community.
When you choose local, youโre voting with your wallet.
Youโre keeping small businesses alive, fuelling creative passions, and ensuring that our regionโs unique identity thrives. Itโs about more than economics; itโs about culture, connection, and care.
So why not dive in? Explore beyond the familiar.
Spend a weekend rediscovering the Camden Haven...youโll find stunning coastal trails, art studios bursting with originality, and farm gates offering produce that tastes like itโs meant to.
Love local by making it personal. Chat with the grower at the markets, thank the team at your favourite bakery, or learn the story behind a handcrafted piece.
These moments remind us why Camden Haven is more than just home...itโs heart.
In 2025, letโs not just live localโletโs love local.
Together, we can make our community stronger, one conscious choice at a time.

If you love being outside in nature, then you must check out these 5 walks and waterfalls within the Camden Haven.
1. Perpendicular Point - This 3.7km return walk is perfect for whale watching, bird watching and photography. Itโs well signposted with gentle hills and the occasional staircase as you overlook the sparkling ocean and can see all the way to Port Macquarie.
1. Ellenborough Falls - Explore the tallest waterfall in NSW at Ellenborough Falls. With heights of 200m there are 4 ways to experience the falls based on your fitness level. Everything from a boardwalk lookout at the top, to adventuring down the 641 steps to experience the falls from below.
2. Swans Crossing - This camping and picnic area in Kerewong State Forest was originally farmland. If you like bird watching, youโll love this walk as it immerses you in wildlife. It is only a short walk through to cascades and swimming holes, making it the perfect day out for everyone.
3. Waitui Falls - Found in Comboyne State Forest near Coorabakh National Park. This waterfall is a great swimming spot or place for a picnic. However, it can be an adventure to find with vague roadside markers.
4. Diamond Head - This campground offers the perfect walk around Crowdy Head National Park. Whilst dodging kangaroos and looking at the gorgeous ocean views the track will take you over to Indian Head and Kylieโs Hut. Itโs well worth the walk as you are sure to experience headlands, hills and beautiful beaches.

With summer in full swing , why not start to venture out to some of the amazing beach areas that are in the local area.
Our coastal areas offer some of the best opportunities for a swim and a fish on the Mid North coast. A great way to take advantage of this is Beach Driving.
If youโve a 4WD and the desire to drive on the beach then driving from Diamond Head to Dunbogan will reward you with some great views and the opportunity to feel like you have an entire coastal area all to yourself.
Packing a sunshade, some cool drinks and appropriate other equipment (fishing rods a must) sets the scene for a great day out.
Ensure you are prepared, understand the risks and take appropriate caution โ check out the tides, carry recovery boards and use correct tyre pressure for a stress-free day out.
Beach driving is a great adventure best shared with at least one other vehicle if youโre not so confident.
