I went on Meg's Secret Art Tour on Macleay on Friday.
There were five of us on the tour and we had a fabulous time.
The rain had stopped and the sun came out. We started off
at 8th Sense with a cuppa; getting to know our fellow tourists
and Meg picked up some surprise goodies for our picnic lunch.
Then we headed off to meet all sorts of wonderfully creative Macleay
artists and artisans, to see their workshops and get a sense of what
inspires them; how they produce their works and what their plans are
for future artworks. We saw a family of Rails hiding in someone's garden.
Meg had reserved a table at Sandpiper Beach and we relaxed in the sun for an
absolutely delicious Michelin Star picnic lunch.Courtesy of Meg (part of the deal)!
One of the girls took off after some soldiers (they were crabs). We popped in to MIAC to see the latest artworks and have a cuppa/glass of wine on the deck and wander through the space. The tour continued but unfortunately I had to go to
work so will need to book another tour soon.
We all had a fantastic, fun and friendly day! Hope some of my mainland and island friends get to check it out!
