TANZANIA, ZANZIBAR...AND NOW KENYA!
My first tour of 2027 was a return to the Great Migration in Tanzania, with a few extra days to relax in beautiful Zanzibar before returning home. The first people to book this tour asked if we could help them organise a few additional days in Kenya to see the Masai Mara and Amboseli National Park. So Pierre went to work putting something together, and now we're proud to annouce an additional 5-day mini tour in Kenya, starting on February 8th and finishing on the 12th - which is also day one of the Tanzania tour.

I'm still a little in awe of the wildlife experiences from the Northern Explorer tour. Every day brought something special, from the biggest to the smallest sighting. The little Paradise Flycatcher (third photo) was a new one for me and happened to be nesting right outside out breakfast spot at our Victoria Falls lodge.

What a difference the rain can make...the first shot was taken on my Northern Explorer tour in 2019. The second shot was taken a few weeks ago, as Namibia reaches the end of one of the wettest wet seasons in decades. Our host Pierre said he has never seen it so green in over 20 years of touring. I found it fascinating to see the 'desert' looking so green and overgrown...especially having seen the opposite extreme 7 years ago.
