PRO TIP: if you don’t have a hair dryer, find a room heater. It works for short hair only though. Sorry ladies 🤣🤣🤣

Wrapping up our Hanoi trip, it was unexpectedly good. In fact, it’s great! It’s beautiful, food is good and everyone is so friendly. Besides the language barrier and a culture shock of their traffic, I thoroughly enjoyed the vacation!

We had sunset dinner yesterday! A romantic and quiet time for ourselves to enjoy the view, the food and the beer. 😊

The last time we came to Bali was at least 10 years ago. And it’s still so beautiful 10 years later. Sometimes, things that are already beautiful, doesn’t need change all the time.

It was excruciatingly hot but all’s worth it when we reach there! What a beautiful view we had! 😍

Today’s post is about random shots. Nothing in particular, but could still pass as a decent image.

These are shot in 3 separate areas, with the first one slightly more dangerous due to slippery rocks and some climbs. Our good hiking shoes saved us umpteen times on this trip, a really good investment indeed. 😎

Things that form a line, shape or colour contrast are typically the easiest to shoot. Even a fallen trunk like the second shot. Insects had made this their home and it certainly looks very well maintained 🤣

The biggest problem you may also faced is when taking a shot of you holding on to something in your hands. Lights reflecting on the object you’re holding and you can’t really move about to avoid it.

One of the easiest way, with minimal photo adjustments for the casuals, is to simply focus on the object, pull down the exposure bar. Go back to your image to edit and simply increase your shadows. That ought to fix the problem!

The storm brews at a far dist… never mind, near distance now. Before we scurried along back to safety. 🤣

Weather changes could almost instantaneously at the South of Western Australia. I don’t know if it’s due to season or just the the geolocation of where it is. It makes planning and hiking that much more difficult.

But there’s a saving grace here. And coincidentally if I could share 1 photography tip, just 1, with everyone, that would be - wherever a storm is brewing, shoot that direction or stay until the storm is over to shoot. Because it is at its most dramatic scene and contrast.

But how many of us are willing to risk it or wait that long? 😉 And that’s the difference.
