This one is probably mine! But... I did love diving the and I'm super excited about going back!

THIS SUNDAY I will be out on the reef again, wooohoooo! Geniunly can't FREAKING WAIT!

It's been around 2.5 years since I've last taken a flight, so that's going to be pretty crazy!

Here is my last post from the reef, such a good day ➡️ https://rooftopantics.com/explore-the-great-barrier-reef-from-port-douglas/

My fellow Australia-loving friend, Brooke Louisa Nolan, wrote this epic piece on how women seem to always be sold pink outdoor gear.

Do you agree with this?

Definitely give it a read, I promise you'll have a good chuckle!

About two years ago I started a quest. A quest that should have been simple, but a quest that to this day I have failed.

This photo popped up in my suggested photos and I was trying to remember which tropical place I had been to recently (I couldn’t see the date it was taken). And then I realised that this is Maroubra, right at the bottom of my street, a 6 min walk from my front door. Like whaaaat?! 😍

So it's clear once and for all 😆😆😆

Not the exact start to the year I was expecting.

A mild sore throat turned into 3 days in bed followed by 5 days in hospital (not COVID) and quite a bit of pain. Back on the road to recovery now for which I am very grateful.

It’s scary to realise how fast your health can get compromised and you basically have no control over your own life. I’m so freaking happy that I’m young and healthy and that I got through the virus as fast as I did, for modern medicine, antibiotics and drips, for it being my first hospitalisation as an adult (I’ve been lucky), for reciprocal healthcare between Belgium and Australia and for friends, family, clients and employers who all helped and checked in as they could.

As I make my money freelancing or in casual work, being out for a whole week after the slower holiday period, after freaking covid lockdowns, is not going to look good on the end of the year spreadsheets, but in the end, nothing is more important than your health. Thank god for savings though 🙏

Biggest lesson of this whole thing? Every day is a gift and make sure to plan ahead for the unexpected.

Looking at Trump like Bi Den!

Feeling so much hope and relief this morning, especially after the week we’ve had.

I’m glad we’re pushing our love for nature and humanity in the right direction.

Here in the Australian press, they are also very clear that it is now time for the current Australian Gov to jump on the momentum and to start taking climate change serious 👏👏👏

A good old Aussie “Yeah Nah” to the .

The stats are clear, about 1 horse dies on Australian racecourses every 3 days. Why? Because it’s a good time for the people attending the races.

The Melbourne Cup is known as the highest grossing gambling day of the year and is celebrated around the country with a boatload of alcohol.

I love having a good time, but every year I just fail to see the fun in seeing the end of life of these horses. And these injuries that end the life of these valuable race horses are quite brutal: broken pelvic bones, snapping a bone in the leg, collapsing from exhaustion, foreleg break, etc, etc.

Anyone who knows and loves horses knows that these majestic animals are very fragile when it comes to injuries on the legs.

This racing practice just feels so outdated and useless. In the end, I can’t help but think that it keeps going because there is a lot of money behind it (revenue for all parties involved including the government) and because people love to get drunk and dress up.

Starts to feel pretty empty when you think of the flip side of the coin though right?

Oh so very ready for more of this. Bring it ooooooon summer!

Also, does anyone else have this constant guilt of posting anything in this pandemic?

My heart is with everyone going back into lockdown, so much 😔
