Finally, it looks like our South-West WA tours will happen in October this year. The old saying 'If at first you don't succeed, then try, try again' is appropriate. Hopefully it will be 4th time lucky.

Numbats, Woylies, Red-tailed Wambunger, Chuditch, Noisy Scrubbird and Western Whipbird here we come... You guys just have to show up and all will be happy 😃

Hi All,
here's something close to our heart in so many ways!! Max is the son of one of our staff and has a passion for wildlife. John says that Max reminds him of someone when they were a kid 😉

He's written a kids book about his adventures helping wildlife, but we are sure that adults will love it also, so we wanted to put it out there for others to see.

Hi all,

We don't just do ecological consultancy, Aqua Metro Services has recently installed our nestboxes at Lillydale Lake as part of the wetlands upgrade happening there.

You may even recognise the guy in the bottom right photo 😉

If you'd like to know more about our 'recycled' nest boxes, please contact us.

What a great way to finish the week, with the arrival of John's advanced copies of the book he co-authored with Peter Rowland and Angus McNab; Wildlife of the Australian Rainforests - A State by State Guide.

It is fabulous to see the finished product compared to seeing it on computer screen.

A huge thanks to the numerous photographers, from professionals to amateurs, who provided images for the various sections of the book. Also thanks to John Beaufoy and the team that did the behind the scenes work to make this book become a reality.

It is due to hit the stands in August, however if you would like to reserve a copy, please contact John.

Hi All,
Now that the Western Australian border is open, we can advertise our upcoming fauna trip to the South-west of WA. Our "South-West Fauna 2021" starting March 9 2021, is an 11 day tour of the fauna hotspots of the area including Dryandra, Stirling Ranges, Bremer Canyon, Cheynes Beach and Perup.

Our target mammals are Numbat, Red-tailed Phascogale, Woylie, Chudditch, Killer Whale, beaked whales, Tammar Wallaby, Quenda (formerly Southern Brown Bandicoot) and Western Ring-tailed Possum. The various endemic birds (Noisy Scrubbird, Western Yellow Robin, White-breasted Robin, Western Bristlebird, Western Corella etc etc), pelagic species, reptiles and amphibians are also on the agenda.

The trip has limited seats remaining (a maximum of 10 seats in total) so if you would like to express your interest or make a booking please email [email protected] or phone me on 0409 090 955.

There are more details in the attached flyer.

Maybe an ideal last minute Christmas gift.....

Cheers

Hi All,

Here is another presentation that we are doing tomorrow night for the City of Manningham, centred around Doncaster in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. It is aimed at encouraging Manningham residents, and those further afield, to get involved in the Birdlife Australia's Aussie Backyard Bird Count from 19-25 October.

John will go through a lot of the common, and some not so common, birds that could be found in backyards and local reserves around Manningham and present some of the data collected from last year's bird count.

Regards

The Wildlife Experiences team.
