Recently, very special clients of mine spent Christmas trekking in Nepal. It involved nine days of climbing to Annapurna Base Camp and back down!! This experience is one I am sure they will remember for a lifetime. Super proud of their efforts and can't wait to hear all about it on their return.
The Annapurna Base Camp trek is a mesmerizing journey into the heart of the Annapurna Mountain range, one of Nepal’s most iconic trekking destinations. This trek is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty, diverse landscapes, rich biodiversity, and cultural encounters with local communities.
Located at an altitude of about 4,130 meters (13,550 feet), the Annapurna sanctuary trek offers breathtaking views of some of the highest peaks in the world, including Annapurna I (8,091 meters), Machapuchare (6,993 meters), and several other snow-capped giants.
One of the highlights of the ABC trek is the opportunity to immerse oneself in the local culture. Along the way, trekkers can visit quaint villages, interact with friendly locals, and experience their unique hospitality. Villages like Chhomrong and Sinuwa offer insight into traditional mountain life and are excellent places to rest and acclimatize.
