This is great news for the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail!!!

Very exciting news! Monto Landcare Group has successfully won a People of Post Grant for our proposed project “Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail - Seating and Shade Tree Project”. Thank you to Merryn King from Monto Post Office for nominating us.
Over winter, we will be preparing planting sites along the trail to provide shade for walkers and other trail users and installing bench seats made by Monto’s Men’s Shed. Spring we’ll plant a mixed selection of species at each site for shade, beauty and wildlife.
Volunteers will be welcome at the working bees at each site for preparation and planting. Stay tuned.

A beautiful day to visit the tunnels from Monto. Guests with their own bikes shuttled from Monto to Barrimoon and return - they were super impressed with the trail and all that has been achieved on the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail.
