Greens Diesel Repairs is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis, in Mossman QLD.

About the opportunity:
The workshop undertakes a range of mechanical tasks including servicing and repairs on a wide range of heavy on road vehicles, plant, and agricultural equipment. In addition to field service and hydraulic hose repairs.
You will be able to prioritise tasks while maintaining attention to detail and delivering a high standard of workmanship within a fast-paced working environment.
The successful applicant will have the ability to work well unsupervised and as a member of the team, with possible leadership opportunities available in the future.

Duties & responsibilities:
•Carry out diagnostics and repairs across a variety of plant and agricultural equipment in addition to heavy on road vehicles and willingness to learn.

•Strong customer service skills.

• Organisational skills.

•Comply with OH&S requirements.

•Maintain service records and job accountability.

•Attend field service breakdowns and servicing requirements.

•Rotational after-hours breakdown and weekend work is a requirement of this role.

Experience & attributes:
•Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications.
•Minimum hold of a valid Class C licence. (Current truck licence advantageous)
•Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
•Exposure to hydraulics. (Preferred but not essential)
•Time Management and organisational skills.
•Reliable working with a high level of integrity.

Greens Diesel Repairs is seeking an organised and well-presented Diesel Mechanic who can prioritise tasks while maintaining attention to detail and delivering a high standard of workmanship within a fast-paced working environment.

The successful applicant will have the ability to work well unsupervised and as a member of the team.

Applicants must hold a relevant trade qualification and current manual drivers’ licence, although not mandatory a forklift licence would be an advantage.

The workshop undertakes a range of work including mechanical servicing and repairs on a wide range of heavy on road vehicles, plant, and agricultural equipment.

Skills and requirements:
• Ability to undertake diagnostics and repairs across a variety of plant and agricultural equipment in addition to heavy on road vehicles.
• Strong customer service skills & organisational skills.
• Must comply with OH&S requirements.
• Maintain service records and job accountability.
• Attend field service breakdowns, call outs and servicing requirements.
• Maintain a high level of presentation standards.

Rotational after-hours breakdown and weekend work is a requirement of this role.
This position will be paid well above the award rate, hourly rate will be negotiable based on skills and experience for the right candidate.
