Did you know your Wise travel card now gives you access to airport lounges worldwide? ✈️🥂

A little FYI for anyone travelling soon…

Wise has just launched airport lounge passes through the Travel Hub inside the Wise app, and honestly, it’s a pretty good little feature for those long airport waits.

You can now purchase lounge access directly through your Wise account from around $48.99 per person, which is often around half the price of paying at the door. Plus, the passes are flexible and valid across a network of 1,400+ lounges worldwide.

The best part?
You do not need to be flying Business Class or with a specific airline. You can use them regardless of who you’re flying with. ✈️

Most lounges include things like:
• Food and drinks
• WiFi
• Quiet seating areas
• Charging stations
• Sometimes showers and bar service depending on the lounge

Wise has partnered with DragonPass for the lounge access feature, and the passes are currently available for Australian Wise customers directly in the app.

Happy Global Travel Advisor Appreciation Day ✈️

Apparently there’s a whole day dedicated to people who survive airline schedule changes, hotel dramas, visa questions at 10pm, and messages that simply say “Lisa… help” 😂

In all seriousness though, I genuinely love what I do.

From planning dream holidays, to fixing the things that occasionally go pear shaped while you’re overseas, being trusted with people’s travel plans is something I never take for granted.

Thank you to every client who books with me, recommends me, answers my late night messages, and lets me be part of your adventures around the world. I appreciate it more than you know.

And yes, I will absolutely still get just as excited over a good airfare, a perfect hotel find, or spotting business class availability at the last minute 😂

Big update for Turkey 🇹🇷

Australians can now enter visa free for tourism and transit.
Up to 90 days within any 180 day period.

This came into effect 17 April 2026.
Perfect timing ahead of Anzac Day at Gallipoli.

What this means for you:
• One less step before you travel
• Saves time and visa cost
• Easier to plan last minute trips

This is actually very cool 👀✈️

Air New Zealand is about to change long haul economy in a big way.

They’re launching Skynest on the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, and it’s exactly what it sounds like… lie-flat sleep pods for economy passengers.

Six pods onboard. Bookable in blocks. From what I understand, you can reserve one for around 4 hours for about $495.

So instead of trying to sleep sitting upright for 14 hours… you can actually lie down properly. Game changer for long haul.

It’s not business class.
But it closes the gap a lot.

Curious to see how this lands with travellers:
• Would you pay for a 4 hour sleep block?
• Or would you rather just put that money towards Premium Economy or Business?

I can see this working really well on routes like NZ to the US or Europe where sleep actually matters.

Personally, I think this will sell fast once people try it.

Today’s hop from Melbourne to Sydney.
Flying on the Airbus A321XLR with Qantas and yes, I was quietly excited about it.

Brand new aircraft.
Sleek cabin.
Noticeably quieter.
And those bigger overhead bins actually make a difference.

This is the future of short to medium haul flying.
More efficient for airlines.

New flight option out of Sydney and it’s a good one!! ✈️

Singapore Airlines are launching daily flights from Western Sydney International from November 2026.

Late night departure. Straight into Singapore early morning. Easy connections into Europe.

I’ve just done a comparison for London in December and the difference was about $700 cheaper flying out of the new airport versus Kingsford Smith 💰

That’s a decent saving for doing nothing different except changing airports.

Worth looking at if you’re planning anything after November 2026, especially for Europe.
