🎶 Chiefs Wanderlust Adventures | A Surprise Night of Live Music 🎶

Some nights on holiday turn into something completely unexpected, and tonight was one of those.

While relaxing at Fuel inside the beautiful Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach, I was lucky enough to catch Alo Tinne performing live. Unfortunately, I only managed to catch about a song and a half before the evening wrapped up, but it was more than enough to remind me just how talented he is.

If you’re travelling through Ho Tram or Ho Chi Minh City, do yourself a favour and keep an eye out for where Alo Tinne is performing. He has an incredible voice, a fantastic stage presence, and creates the kind of atmosphere that makes a great evening even better.

Live music always adds something special to a trip, and it’s these unexpected moments that often become the memories you take home.

🌴 Chiefs Wanderlust Adventures 🌴

Not every day of travel has to be packed with sightseeing. Sometimes the best days are the ones where you slow down, take it all in, and simply enjoy where you are.

Today was all about relaxing. We spent some time by the pool, enjoyed a swim, wandered around the resort and surrounding area, and soaked up the atmosphere. The tropical heat definitely reminds you that you’re in Vietnam, but there’s always a cool drink or a pool nearby to help you recharge.

As the sun went down, it was time for a delicious hot pot dinner. Fresh ingredients, rich flavours, and sharing the meal made it a perfect way to end a laid-back day.

To finish off the evening, we headed over to Roxy’s Club for a look. Great music, a lively atmosphere, and plenty of people enjoying the night made for a fun way to experience another side of Ho Tram’s nightlife.

Sometimes the best travel memories aren’t about rushing from one attraction to the next. They’re about slowing down, enjoying good food, great company, and embracing the local vibe.

As the sun dips below the horizon, Ho Tram transforms into a place of calm and relaxation. The heat of the day gives way to a warm tropical evening, with a gentle sea breeze rolling in from the coast and the sound of the waves creating the perfect backdrop.

The atmosphere here is completely different at night. Soft lighting, beautifully landscaped resorts, and quiet beachfront paths make it an ideal place for an evening stroll. Whether you’re enjoying a cocktail overlooking the ocean, sampling fresh local seafood, or simply taking in the peaceful surroundings, Ho Tram has a way of helping you slow down and appreciate the moment.

One of the things I’ve enjoyed most is how laid-back everything feels. There’s no rush, just good food, friendly people, and that unmistakable coastal vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer.

Exploring Vũng Tàu

The last few days exploring Vũng Tàu have been a great reminder that sometimes the best travel experiences come from simply slowing down and taking in the atmosphere.

Vũng Tàu has a relaxed coastal vibe with plenty of great places to eat, enjoy a cold drink, and watch the world go by. Whether you’re wandering along the waterfront, discovering local restaurants, or finding a quiet spot to unwind, there’s always something to appreciate.

The weather certainly made itself known! The heat and humidity were intense at times, making sightseeing a bit of a challenge, but that’s all part of travelling through tropical Vietnam. We were also treated to a few impressive thunderstorms that rolled through, bringing dramatic skies, heavy rain, and a welcome break from the heat.

Of course, one of the highlights was the food. We found some fantastic places to eat over the past few days, enjoyed some refreshing drinks, and met plenty of friendly people along the way. It’s those simple moments that often become the best memories.

As we leave Vũng Tàu behind and continue our journey, it’s another destination we’ll look back on fondly. Every place has its own personality, and Vũng Tàu definitely delivered a memorable mix of beach life, great food, tropical weather, and genuine hospitality.

Back at Our Happy Place!

Arriving at Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach feels a bit like coming home. From the moment you arrive, there’s a sense of calm that washes over you, and it’s easy to remember why we wanted to come back.

The resort has such a welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, and that unmistakable holiday feeling that starts the minute you walk through the doors. After our last visit, we knew this was a place worth returning to, and it’s just as impressive as we remembered.

Now it’s time to settle in, relax, and make the most of the next few days. We can’t wait to enjoy everything the resort and the Hồ Tràm coastline have to offer once again.

Another Great Find in Da Nang – Country BBQ

One of the best parts of travelling is stumbling across places that satisfy a craving you didn’t even realise you had. After spending the day wandering around Da Nang, taking in the sights and soaking up the atmosphere, we decided to stop in at Country BBQ.

For anyone missing a taste of traditional BBQ while travelling, this place is definitely worth checking out. The pulled pork was tender and packed with flavour, the spare ribs were cooked beautifully, and the chicken and pork sausage rounded out a fantastic meal. What really stood out was the range of sauces available, each bringing something different to the table and making it easy to customise every bite.

The venue had a lively atmosphere and was clearly popular with both locals and visitors. The only downside during our visit was that the music was a little louder than we would have preferred, making conversation a bit challenging at times. It certainly added energy to the venue, but a slightly lower volume would have made the experience even more enjoyable.

That said, the quality of the food more than made up for it. If you’re exploring Da Nang and looking for a break from seafood or local cuisine, Country BBQ offers a hearty, satisfying meal that hits the spot.

While exploring the streets of Da Nang, I stumbled across what can only be described as one of the best barber experiences I’ve ever had at Soldier Barbershop.

What started as a simple haircut turned into a full 90-minute experience that included a precision haircut, traditional shave, relaxing head wash, and invigorating scalp scrub. From the moment I walked through the door, the team made me feel welcome, valued, and completely looked after.

A special mention goes to Harry, whose skill, professionalism, and attention to detail were outstanding. He took his time, ensured every aspect of the service was perfect, and genuinely made the experience feel personal rather than rushed. It’s rare to find a barber who combines technical expertise with such exceptional customer service, but Harry certainly delivered on both.

The atmosphere throughout the shop was relaxed and professional, and it was clear that the staff take great pride in what they do. Every step of the service was carefully executed, creating an experience that felt more like a premium grooming retreat than a standard barber visit.

If you’re visiting Da Nang and looking for a quality haircut, shave, or simply want to treat yourself to a first-class grooming experience, Soldier Barbershop should be at the top of your list. After spending 1.5 hours in their capable hands, I can confidently say it’s one of the best barber experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world.
