Almost 20 years in travel and I still feel so lucky to be part of an industry filled with such incredible people, many of whom have become lifelong friends and family 🖤

What an honour to sit at the table to represent Luxury Travel Collection (LTC) 🗝️ for its nomination and spot as a finalist for most outstanding travel agency network. I am so proud that Take Off Go can call LTC home.

Last night was all about celebrating the best of the best at the National Travel Industry Awards which was a nice excuse to get dressed up, catch up with some of my favourite humans, celebrate everyone’s hard work and, naturally, drink far too much ch*****ne. 🥂

So proud to be part of this crazy, wonderful industry. Wouldn’t change it for the world.

I’m often asked why I keep going back to Antarctica and I never really know how to answer it.

There are very few places in the world that have affected me the way Antarctica has. The silence, the wildlife, the scale of it all. You feel very small down there, in the best possible way.

I often say it’s the only place on Earth that doesn’t feel like you’re on Earth.

We now have the last cabins on Seabourn Venture departing 18 December 2027, from $22,898 AUD per person, almost $10,000 per person less than the regular pricing.

If Antarctica has been sitting on your list waiting for the right time, this is honestly an incredible opportunity.

I’ve been really torn about posting these photos.

Because I spend a lot of time in the bush. I know how endangered rhino are. I know how incredibly lucky I am to see them.

And I also know how fragile that privilege is.

Did we get to see a mum and her calf, both with beautiful full horns? Yes.

Did I cry? Obviously 😭😭😭😭

Is this one of the few places where the landscape and topography actually help keep poachers away, meaning rhino can still walk around with the horns nature intended them to have? Yes.

And then we darted them.

That part is harder to reconcile.

We dart these incredible animals so their horns can be microchipped and tracked. So we can protect them. So we can try to stay one step ahead of the as****es fuelling a trade that should not exist in the first place.

There is a huge smile on my face in these photos.

But this wasn’t a happy day.

That smile is gratitude. Absolute awe. And the overwhelming privilege of being this close to an animal I love so much.

But underneath it was sadness and anger that we even have to do this.

A rhino should just get to be a rhino.

With its horn.

In the wild.

Without us having to dart it, chip it, monitor it and protect it from humans.

We have to be better to this planet.

The North Pole was about reaching the place.

But part of why I love the polar regions so much is the people you fall in love with along the way. 🤍

The ones you laugh with, freeze with, pile into Zodiacs with and stand on the ice thinking… how is this actually our life?

A collection of people I love, united by a place that blew every expectation out of the icy water.

I miss this place. And these humans. So very much. 🐻‍❄️🤍🐻‍❄️🥂

Just casually running around the world… 🌎

At the North Pole, every direction is south, every time zone meets, and apparently this is what we do when someone puts up a sign saying “North Pole.”

Technically circumnavigated the world in about 30 seconds.

Probably my fastest trip yet. 😂

Still cannot quite believe I got to stand at 90° North. What a ridiculous, magical, once in a lifetime place. 🤍

Second time in Svalbard and so spectacular.

This almost felt like it’s own expedition after sailing south from the North Pole but it was equally sensational

Wildlife, glaciers, and as always, Mother Nature showing off.

I love the Arctic and cannot wait to return , and swim some more, again soon please
