WHERE AM I? — ANSWER

The answer is Gympie, Queensland — the Mary River, right in the heart of town. 🥇

A lot of people know Gympie for the Deep Creek Goldfields, but there is much more to explore than just the GPA.

Gympie was built on gold, and with a bit of research you can find pockets of accessible prospecting ground in some surprising places around the town.

In fact, gold has even been found under the Aldi car park! 😲

These photos show just how different the prospecting opportunities around Gympie can be — from the Mary River, to small pockets of ground hidden in and around the town.

**DID YOU GET IT? 👀**

The answer is **Wicks Crossing on Reedy Creek, Victoria.**

Named after **Anton Wick**, this quiet crossing has a fascinating connection to one of the darkest episodes in the Kelly story.

The night before the **Siege of Glenrowan**, two members of the Kelly gang rode to the home of **Aaron Sherritt**, who lived nearby.

They bailed up Anton Wick and forced him to lure Sherritt out of his hut.

When Sherritt appeared, **he was shot dead.**

Today, Wicks Crossing looks like a peaceful little stretch of Reedy Creek.

But standing here, you're only a short distance from where the events leading up to the Glenrowan siege began to unfold.
