Okay… confession time 🤐

I may have been keeping a tiny secret…

Africa 🦛🦩🦍 has been calling my name, and after an opportunity popped up a few months ago that I absolutely could NOT say no to… well… I said YES 🙌

And now it’s official — I’m off next month! ✈️🌍

I’ll be heading off on an epic adventure through Kenya, and as if that wasn’t exciting enough… it’s also led to something next-level incredible — gorilla trekking in Rwanda 🦍✨

Basically… I’m still pinching myself 😍

Travel requirements to the UK are changing from 8 January 2025. This includes moving from physical immigration documents to eVisas and introducing Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) which is a digital permission to travel.

If you hold a UK visa and use a biometric residence permit or card to prove their immigration status, you need to get access to an eVisa before you travel and make sure passport details are up to date: www.gov.uk/eVisa.

If they already have an eVisa, need to inform the UK Government about the passport that you intend to use for travel: www.gov.uk/update-uk-visas-immigration-account-details

If you do not need a visa to visit the UK for short stays of up to six months, they will need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). You can check when if need an ETA to travel to the UK and can apply here: www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation

A first family cruise for our family, kids 16,13 & 12yrs
Happy to advise we all enjoyed the cruise life and have returned to reality now with a few more tips then before!
Few highlights…
- secure kids placed in kids club well before departure
- pre purchased adventure pass for children

- booked on day 1 for the exclusive Blanc de Blanc uncorked show @ $20 per adult experiences the aventure pass
- Angelo’s high tea booked @ $39 per head
-Luke’s Salt Bar & Grill booked as a special occasion, well worth the additional costs
-pre booked late dining prior to arrival pleased all were allocated for the 3 different inclusive
restaurants
-oversized balcony was a pleasant surprise
-Avalon cafe cheeseboards reasonable cost and perfect with a wine whilst relaxing in Lilly’s bar!
-day spa treatments thanks to additional specials made available
-SALES in the shops and new offers for the teen girls throughout the journey all a bonus!

Perfect time of year with no stingers in the water, temperatures of 27 in Airline Beach & Cairns meant comfortable conditions to sit on deck and enjoy down time in the sunshine ☀️ enter to amend onboard for the free shows on offer - Seven, One & Musciology all of high standards and recommend.

For my rating as a 3.5 star ship had plenty of space and modern facilities to ensure whilst a full cruise it was never a long queue and plenty of options to be tucked away on an area themed and seperate from
Many of the other areas with no issues to get a seat. Good standard enjoyed and variety with option to purchase burgers, ice cream of pizzas for casual dining or alternatives all reasonable. Certain parts tired and could be seen as wear and tear showing it’s age, yes it’s an older ship and cabins small but overall an experience we enjoyed and would travel again.
