The Black Swan, with its striking black feathers and red bill, calls our waterways home. 🖤

Over 200 species of birds can be spotted along the river, from playful parrots to majestic eagles.

Many migratory birds stop here each year, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise.

We have binoculars on board, you just never know what you’ll spot! 🐦

🚤 The week before the March long weekend, Stephen, his mates, and Deanne’s 80-year-old dad Chester set off on a special mission along the Murray.

Their journey? Renmark to Young Husband (near Mannum) - celebrating their mate Shayne’s 60th birthday in true river style.

Over the trip they clocked more than 400km of skiing, plenty of laughs, and a lot of river memories. The theme for the adventure was simple: blue trucker singlets - a tribute to Chester’s “uniform” from a similar trip the crew did 10 years ago between Wentworth and Renmark for Shayne’s 50th.

For many of the group it was their first time exploring that stretch of the river, and they loved seeing a different side of the Murray together.

The fellas wrapped it up, relaxing at Shayne’s shack, soaking in the views… and watching incredible boats like the historical Murray Princess glide past.

Just another reminder that the Murray isn’t just a river - it’s where stories, traditions and lifelong memories are made.
