Bungle Bungle Caravan Park & Touring Company We're 1Km off the highway, Caravan Park and restaurant, daily tours and heli flights to Purnululu N.P We also have a small bar, we call it the "Bar 'a 'van"!!.

We are a caravan Park and Tour Company, operating off Mabel Downs Station and into the World Heritage area Purnululu - Bungle Bungles. We offer Powered, unpowered and bush sites, along with 5 cabins for our travellers. Daily Tours on a 4x4 bus into Purnululu visiting Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm; we arm our guests with morning tea, lunch, and enjoy dinner of locally sourced beef, barra and s

nag's around communal tables by the fire pit on your return. Dinners are available, Locally sourced beef, barra and snags, complimented with three gourmet salads and cafe style desserts, bookings are essential. We also cater for Dietaries, so please let us know when booking. Carrying Beers, light beers, small selection of RTD's and seltzer to help you cool down even a selection of of wines - even some of our own! The website is open to take your bookings, and we look forward to welcoming you when we OPEN the doors on 16.4.2025!

Tour Details

Start Time: 6:15 AM sharp – guide introduction, tour overview, and boarding
Departure: 6:30 AM (the bus will not wait for any late arrivals)
Return: Between 4:30–5:00 PM
Dinner: Buffet at the Bull Ring at 5:30 PM

What to Expect

A full-day adventure with multiple stops, walking trails, and scenic views
Stops include:
Visitor Centre (2-hour drive): Morning tea break (muffin provided; drinks available for purchase)
Cathedral Gorge & Bungle Bungle Domes: Easier 2km return walk, includes a short ladder climb
Echidna Chasm: Moderate 2km return walk on a rocky creek bed
Return via Visitor Centre for a toilet break
Note: There is no toilet onboard the bus, so plan accordingly.

What to Bring

A refillable water bottle (refills provided)
A hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses
Covered, sturdy footwear suitable for walking
Walking stick and/or umbrella, if you need them
Any motion sickness medication (if applicable – please take precautions the night before and bring medication with you)
A booster seat if you are travelling with a 6-year-old (required by law; we do not provide booster seats) pls see reception for fitting
Your camera with lots of storage space!!

Food & Dietary Needs

Morning tea, lunch, and dinner are included in your booking
If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate your needs
(Dietary requests cannot be guaranteed if received after 4 PM the day before the tour)

Additional Notes

Both walks are primarily in the sun, with limited shaded areas
Park fees are included
Sunscreen and hand sanitiser are available on the bus
Our guides are fully first aid qualified
No drones permitted on the tour or in the national park
Booking cut-off is 4 PM the day prior to the tour


We recommend drinking plenty of water the day before to stay well hydrated. It’s a big day so come prepared and wear comfortable clothing.😎

Keeping the busses mobile over te wet season ensures all the right bits stay lubed, and keeps the air-conditioning circulating...and it's always a bit of fun on the track.
Generally it is a slow trip, the 11km to Fletcher's Creek is rough from last season and takes about 45mins each way. Always cattle on the road, sometimes a dingo or a snake, and of late, flocks of wild budgies.
Here is Miles, crossing Fletcher's, at 4x normal video speed... it's gunna be bumpy..
