Christmas Eve Eve Eve... And welcome to Australia haha.
Being part English, we've always had the traditional roast for Christmas Eve dinner/Christmas Day lunch as it makes dad feel at home.
However, realistically, Christmas in Australia is far different to England 😂
It's currently 34 degrees and god knows what humidity, so I'm lounging in the pool to keep cool. And obviously, that requires a cold beer to help😂 That's a standard Christmas Day in Australia - hot weather and cold beers. Seafood is a popular Aussie Christmas tradition too, which we do often mix into our traditional English Christmas meals to keep our entire family happy haha.
I've been very focused on what I haven't been able to do this year (travel, visit family and friends interstate and overseas etc) but right now, I'm so grateful to be able to call Australia home. I see what's happening throughout the rest of the world, especially the UK where Christmas is essentially cancelled, and while it means I can't see my family who live over there, at least I'm able to spend time with my family here. And live a relatively normal life without a whole heap of restrictions.
I tell you what though, I CANNOT wait until the entire world gets back to normal so we can travel and cruise and see family friends whenever we want regardless of where the live. I can't WAIT!!!
