Experience this unique collaboration of Sydney’s premier arts and cultural organisations across the city and harbour foreshore in 11 days of festivities between 20-30 November. At t

he core of the program will be events and activities presented by eleven Collaborating Partners - the Art Gallery of NSW, the Australian Museum, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Blackfella Films, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Koori Radio 93.7FM, the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney, the Sydney Harbour foreshore authority, the State Library, and the Sydney Opera House. A program of free signature events will also be presented, for all to participate and enjoy, including Gurung, an inspirational Kids Parade to be staged down Macquarie Street, a traditional Firelight Ceremony set on the foreshore of the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the unique Black Arts Market. Corroboree Sydney is supported by Destination NSW, with the objective of generating participation in Indigenous Australian cultural life through the presentation of high-quality content in programs that draw on contemporary cultural expression. The Corroboree Sydney partners respectfully acknowledge the Gadigal clan of the Eora nations who are the traditional custodians of the land on which the festival takes place.

Thank you to all of you who have supported Corroboree Sydney!

Together we created two wonderful festivals and even though Corroboree Sydney is no longer, we look forward to continuing to celebrate and share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through the inspiring work of our Elders, artists, dancers, musicians and writers. Corroboree Sydney acknowledges and pays respect to the Gadigal people for their ongoing custodianship of the lands and waters of Sydney city. This is Gadigal land, always was, always will be.

The WugulOra Indigenous Ceremony is a special moment to celebrate Australia’s traditional landowners on Australia Day. WugulOra is a word belonging to the Eora people meaning “One Mob”, which promotes and acknowledges the special place that Indigenous Australians hold and have always held in this country.

The ceremony will commemorate the start of Australia Day on 26 January at the Northern Boardwalk of the Sydney Opera House and is free for all to enjoy. For more information, please visit http://www.australiaday.com.au/event/wugulora-indigenous-ceremony/

It's our last day! We would like to thank everyone who has volunteered or visited and made Corroboree Sydney 2014 such a great success!

There's a lot on for our final day, but make sure you get down to the Sydney Opera House steps at 6:30pm to help the Bangarra Dance Theatre celebrate their 25th birthday with an incredible free performance. Appearances from Christine Anu, Deborah Mailman and the NSW Public School Aboriginal Dance Company are sure to make this an unforgettable night.

So bring the family down, pack a picnic and join us in finishing off on a high note!

Welcome to the weekend! Corroboree Sydney has been a great success so far and as we enter our final weekend we've got lots of exciting things to see and do.

Start off your day at Art Gallery of New South Wales and check out the Corroboree Cafe. Sample our great 'bushfood' inspired menu and enjoy live music from contemporary Indigenous musicians.

If you're a more hands-on person, there is a special Bark Boat Building demonstration at Australian National Maritime Museum. It's a great chance to learn about some incredibly important traditions. The demonstration starts at 11am.

Plus, there are so many films, talks, musical performances and lessons being held over the weekend and you can find out all the information you need at: http://www.corroboreesydney.com.au/ #!/events/29/all/all
