Great move by Holland America Line (HAL) and the Netherlands. What better way to care for the refugees than a venue with safe accomodation, food and social interaction. I know it's a small number in the grand scheme of things but they will be cared for well.

Great to see the cruise industry getting involved in a way they can. Cruise ships are often used to move humanitarian assistance after natural disasters.

In response to the ongoing uncertainty about coronavirus in Asia, Norwegian Cruise line has announced that it is cancelling the 2020 Asia season for Norwegian Spirit from 15 Apr to 7 Dec 2020.

"Please be advised that a full refund will be processed automatically to the form of payment provided at the time of booking. As a goodwill gesture, we have arranged for a future cruise credit, worth 10% toward your future cruise, to be issued," the company said.

There has been no announcement about where the Norwegian Spirit will be redeployed to yet.
