4wd Tours Qld is taking a break over Christmas/New Year. I will be back on the emails and socials after Jan 13 2025.

Some information to be aware of when booking:
Bookings/fees;
Terms and Conditions are found on the website.
Your vehicle must be in good mechanical order and have appropriate vehicle insurance and roadside assistance cover.

Tag-along fees are per vehicle and cover business costs, they do not pay wages. Some of the major business costs include: State Government fees (Commercial Tour Operator Application Licence/Permits/per person visitor fees), Public Liability Insurance, Vehicle running costs and Facebook advertising fees.
All other costs for cafes, camping, and other businesses payable directly to them. Meals are BYO.

Payment via direct bank transfer only at this stage and must be received a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event.

Cancellations;
100% refund only if 4wd Tours Qld cancels. Cancellations may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or not enough vehicles confirmed (paid) for an event by the cut-off date.
If you cancel:
More than 14 days before the event you can apply for a 50% refund or credit towards a future event to be used within 6 months.
If you cancel less than 14 days before the event no refund however, you can apply for a credit to use on another event to be used within 6 months.

Lots of flooding out west. Hopefully, the water holes will still have water in them for our trip mid 2025.

⚠️ Water is running over the repaired Old Birdsville Crossing of Diamantina River which is closed at the moment while we complete our works including putting in of guide posts and a depth guide.

I sometimes get questions about the difference between the different level of trips. Here is some information that will assist you.

Easy-level trips;
Mostly on gravel-formed tracks and are suitable to SUV style vehicles. These vehicles have traction control on all 4wd wheels. The day trips are a great way to explore a new area, see a few campsites have a BYO picnic lunch and enjoy getting out into the bush.

Medium-level trips;
Suited to standard 4wds with low range transfer cases such as Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger etc. Suitable to people who are new to 4wdriving or those who want to explore new locations enjoy these trips. These trips are often in National Parks

Difficult-level trips;
These trips are often in commercial 4wd parks. They are suitable for modified 4wds with suspension lift, traction control/lockers and winches. ideal for drivers who want to test their vehicles and themselves in a safe environment.

Extreme-level trips;
We do not do this level of trip.
