What a swift sweep of Taylors Bay on the shores of Sydney Harbour.

With all the rain lately, today’s clean up sure offered a lot of waste to remove.

All in all we removed 19kg of waste in 30 minutes of effort! Well done to the Zali Team and families that braved the weather and got stuck into it!

It’s our annual Mosman Community Clean Up Event!

A perfect way to get outdoors and connect with nature and community.

Gather the kids, neighbours and friends and come on down to Taylors Bay and help clean up one of Sydney’s best harbour beaches.

We’ll also have giveaways supplied by local ecofriendly businesses.

When: 10:30am to 12pm Sunday 1st March
Where: 48 Iluka Road, Mosman
What: Bring gloves, wear shoes and a big smile

unwavering grit and pure teamwork was the theme for our recent Duke Ed Award Hike.

These legendary Dukes traversed the rocky escarpments and navigated the bushland in Berowra Valley across a challenging three days!

If you thought the humidly, rain, a funnel web, ticks, leaches, sleepless nights, never ending ups and downs would knock these Dukes out, you would be wrong!

Whatever the adventure journey threw at these Dukes, they just picked themselves up and kept going until the end!

My hat off to one of these Dukes for her stoicism and appetite for achieving her goals. She knows who she is!

Well done team, see you all again!

Our recent Veteran and Families Camp was a HUGE hit!

Don’t believe us, then take it from one of our veteran dads who came along.

“My son loved the camping and bushwalking, spending time together around the fire, meeting other children, and learning new skills like tying knots and pitching a tarp tent. It was wonderful to see him so enthusiastic about learning and exploring outdoors.”

The camp will be held on 10 & 11 October 2025 at Berowra Valley National Park.

This camp is free for veterans and their families, but places are strictly limited.

a gazillion blooming flowers shooting out of this flower spike of the Green Grass Tree (Xanthorrhoea media).

Come and see this spectacular plant and many more unique plants, nothing like this one though, on our Manly Wildlife Tour in North Head Sanctuary.

Today was a stroll through nature with veterans and partners of .

Showcasing the splendour that nature has on offer whilst walking the Fairyland Loop Walk in Lane Cove.

Thanks to everyone who walked and shared their experiences with me today. Walking together is the perfect way to connect with other veterans and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do so.

Thank you for your service and I’m looking forward to our next walk together.

On this tour you will be guided along the foreshore of Sydney Harbour with your knowledgable guide from EcoWalks Tours.

Learn about the symbiotic relationships between plants and animals. In this case, the Port Jackson Fig and the fig wasp.

Endemic to Sydney is the Port Jackson Fig (Ficus rubiginosa) pictured here with its edible ruby red fruits.
