Daylesford has a fab new cocktail bar! 🤩🍸 Check out Saint Brigid’s Daylesford from the team at Daylesford Brewing Co, which has just opened in Hardware Lane off Central Springs Road. Unapologetically British in style, but lovingly Daylesford. Love it! 😍

Fancy hanging with this mob? 🦘

This Saturday, the Macedon Ranges Wildlife Network is hosting a guided Kangaroo Walk & Talk at Hanging Rock.

Spend an hour among the reserve’s resident kangaroo mobs, learning about their behaviour, social structures and the lives unfolding within one of Victoria’s most extraordinary landscapes. 🥾

Because driving home afterwards seems unnecessarily responsible, make a weekend of it.

🏡 Ashbourne Farmhouse is a spacious farm stay just outside Woodend and around 10–15 minutes from Hanging Rock. With five bedrooms and room for up to 13 guests, it’s made for bringing your own mob. Keep an eye on the paddocks — you may meet a few locals there too.

Or plan a future escape at Norsu Cabin, a Scandi-inspired log cabin at the foot of Mount Macedon, featured as one of The Age’s 52 Best Weekends Away.

While you’re in the neighbourhood:

🍷 Take the scenic route to Granite Hills Winery & Cellar Door for award-winning cool-climate wines and vineyard views.

🍺 Head into Woodend for a local brew at Holgate Brewhouse

🍣 Wander a few doors up to Kuzu Izakaya | Japanese Dining for seriously good Japanese izakaya fare—or nip down the road to its wilder sibling, ZENZEN | Japanese Street Food Gisborne for bold Japanese street food, local Macedon Ranges wine and a very good time.

📍 Kangaroo Walk & Talk
📅 Saturday 22 August
🕝 2.30–3.30 pm
📍 Hanging Rock Reserve

Can’t make this one? Further walks are scheduled for 26 September and 24 October.
