[Monday] TRAFFIC BEDLAM: Motorists are starting to lose all hope trying to get through Hexham, Heatherbrae, Thornton, Maitland, Beresfield and Tomago, with road closures bringing traffic to a standstill. One woman said it took her two hours to travel just four kilometres. Another said, “50 minutes to get home to Thornton from Bero Industrial Estate”, and those are neighbouring suburbs. Lots of rain expected this week so please stay safe on the roads. We will probably have delays this week too so please be kind to your driver. 🥺

There is a lot of rain forecast for the NSW Hunter and Mid North Coast starting from tomorrow. Everything is saturated already so this is going to cause a high risk of flooding between about Coffs Harbour and Newcastle at this stage. Heavy rain up to 100mm+ a day and 4 day totals up to 400mm+ are possible.
Take necessary precautions if you live in a flood prone area!
