Our lovely Bellingen Valley Beauty 6-day tour departed Brisbane in late April with a keen group of Funstars onboard Fun Over 50 Holidaysโ€™ luxury Gold Class coach. Travelling through the picturesque Tweed Valley, guests enjoyed morning tea and an informative farm tractor tour of Tropical Fruit World.

Stopping at New Italy for a delicious lunch, then through Coffs Harbour, the final destination was the peaceful Lookout Mountain Retreat in Dorrigo. Set on seven hectares of landscaped gardens with breathtaking mountain views, this was the perfect place to unwind for three nights.

The following day it was time to visit the historic Mary Boulton Pioneer Cottage with its wonderful history and amazing collection of 20th-century antiques that brought back a few memories. At South West Rocks, the group explored the ruins of Trial Bay Gaol with its sobering convict history, then a visit to the Honey Place in Urunga to watch the bees in action and sample their produce.

Descending from the Dorrigo Plateau, our gold coach took the group to the delightful coastal town of Coffs Harbour and its fascinating Butterfly House. Set in lush tropical gardens, the flowers attract an array of colourful butterflies that grace the skies, some stopping long enough to pose for a photo! Up next, the iconic Big Banana for a Banana Plantation tour and some banana-themed treats, followed by Solitary Islands Aquarium where a marine biologist gave an insight into its interesting inhabitants.

One of the highlights of the tour was time spent in Dorrigo National Park, enjoying a guided rainforest walk with bird watching opportunities, a chance to traverse Dorrigo Skywalk and of course, view the majestic waterfalls which really put on a show after all the rain.

The group took a tour of the Dutton Trout Hatchery set on ten acres along the Serpentine River, before heading to Armidale for a two-night stay. A guided town tour was followed by time to stroll through the remarkable New England Regional Art Museum. The day was topped off with a relaxing lunch at Petersons Armidale Winery. The last stop before heading home was Bestbrook Mountain Farmstay for a country lunch with old-fashioned hospitality.

A wonderful group of Funstars departed Brisbane in April on our popular 11-day Inland Explorer tour. Covering three states, our guests travelled in our opulent โ€˜Diamond Classโ€™ coach, heading west through the Lockyer Valley to their first stop โ€“ morning tea overlooking the stunning views at Picnic Point in Toowoomba before heading to their first overnight stop - St George.

Riversands Vineyards provided the perfect setting to learn about the cotton farming industry, enjoy a delicious lunch and of course, sample the local wine, before boarding the coach bound for the opal mining town of Lightning Ridge.

There was so much to see in the Lightning Ridge area - Fred Bodelโ€™s hut, the historic Three Mile Flat, an opal cutting demonstration and a visit to Lunatic Hill to learn about old opal mining techniques. After lunch it was off to explore Amigoโ€™s Castle, Bevanโ€™s Cactus Gardens, and the Chambers of the Black Hand, a unique treasure in a 100-year-old mine shaft. The dayโ€™s end provided an opportunity to unwind with a soak in the thermal baths.

The group travelled through Walgett and Coonamble before arriving in Dubbo for a guided wildlife tour of the fascinating Taronga Western Plains Zoo. The next day, it was onto the prosperous cattle and sheep farming region of Nyngan on the Bogan River, then into the copper mining town of Cobar for an overnight stay.

On to Emmdale, Wilcannia and Broken Hill for a guided tour, then through to Silverton - a ghost town boasting a famous movie set! Guests visited the Pro Hart Gallery, explored the Living Desert Sanctuary and watched the sun set over the stunning sculptures.

The group left Broken Hill, driving the Silver City Highway to Wentworth and a visit to the historic Old Wentworth Gaol before crossing the Murray River to Mildura. Following the iconic river, the tour stopped at Robinvale and Tooleybuc before arriving in Swan Hill for a guided tour and lunch at the wonderful Pioneer Settlement, then on to Echuca.

A guided tour highlighted the history of the Murray River and its paddle steamers, before guests boarded one for a delightful river cruise. On the final night in Melbourne, everyone reminisced on a fabulous tour before preparing to fly home.

Our opulent โ€˜Diamond Classโ€™ coach began its 8-day journey out of Brisbane with a lovely group of Funstars on board, ready for an Outback Queensland and Lightning Ridge adventure. First stop was morning tea with amazing views at Picnic Point, Toowoomba.

Continuing through Dalby, Chinchilla and Miles, the group were grateful to arrive in Roma to a warm country welcome. Romaโ€™s Cattle Saleyards, Australiaโ€™s largest, were in full swing and made for an exciting start to the day. A stop at Morven, then it was on to Charleville for a guided tour of the historic Hotel Corones before the fascinating Bilby Experience, where the group heard of the plight of this endangered animal and the efforts being made to protect them.

The Big Sky Observatory Outback Stargazing Tour at The Cosmos Centre allowed guests to learn more about the wonders of the stars. In Cunnamulla, a mandatory stop at the famous Cunnamulla Fella statue, then onto The Artesian Time Tunnel for a journey back 100 million years into the ancient sandstone. There was time for a break in Bollon before enjoying a Nullawokka First Nations Cultural Tour with a bush tucker lunch, then off to St George.

A heritage tour of St George included a visit to Anchorage Homestead, one of the oldest in the shire, then the group enjoyed a tour, tasting and lunch at Riversands Wines. In Thallon, a local guide shared stories behind the townโ€™s sculptures, including โ€˜Williamโ€™ a giant sculpture of the endangered Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat. After a visit to the vibrant Thallon Silo Mural, our Diamond coach took the group into Lightning Ridge, famous for its opals and dinosaur fossils.

Guests visited The Australian Opal Centre, Fred Bodelโ€™s hut, the oldest minerโ€™s camp, historic Three Mile Flat, Lunatic Hill Open Cut Mine, Amigoโ€™s Castle, Bevanโ€™s cactus gardens and the โ€˜Chambers of the Black Handโ€™ in a 100-year-old mine.

Leaving Lightning Ridge, our Funstars headed for Moree and an educational tour of a cotton farm before enjoying a farewell dinner in Goondiwindi. The last day on the road saw our guests indulge in a long lunch overlooking the vines at Albert River Wines before cruising back to Brisbane in comfort.

Our popular 6-day Brigadoon at Bundanoon Festival tour started in Sydney as a group of Funstars landed at the airport and were whisked away to start the tour with a delightful lunch cruise past all the iconic Sydney Harbour landmarks.

Once back on land, guests boarded our luxury Gold Class coach and headed off to the Southern Highlands for their three-night stay in Burradoo. Thereโ€™s much to do in this picturesque area - Red Cow Farm Garden with its tulips and other vibrant springtime bulbs in bloom, beautiful Fitzroy Falls, and the wonderful Bradman Museum and International Cricket Hall of Fame.

Next day it was off to the highlight of the tour โ€“ the Annual Highland Gathering Festival in Bundanoon. Australiaโ€™s premier Scottish Highland Gathering, the town transforms into Brigadoon for a day with festivities galore including the street parade with marching pipe bands, clan societies and decorated floats. The festival program includes massed pipes and drums and of course, plenty of Highland and Scottish Country Dancing. Guests enjoyed watching kilted contestants as they vied to win the hay toss, shot put, caber toss and egg throwing.

After a full day and a good nightโ€™s sleep, it was off the next day to the beautiful Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters lookout, then onto the historic Hydro Majestic hotel for a delightful High Tea, overlooking the stunning views. That afternoon, a visit to another icon - Bathurst and the famous Mount Panorama racing circuit, before ending the day in Mudgee.

A visit to Gulgong Pioneers Museum gave a fascinating insight into Australiaโ€™s gold rush days with amazing collections from that era, including buildings, farm and mining equipment, horse-drawn vehicles and Aboriginal and geological artefacts. In the afternoon, the group arrived in Coonabarabran for lunch before continuing on through Narrabri and Moree, arriving in Goondiwindi for the final night of the tour.

After a town tour of Goondiwindi, the group headed to Toowoomba for lunch before arriving back in Brisbane to bid each other farewellโ€ฆ until next time!

Leaving rainy Brisbane behind, our group of Funstars arrived on Norfolk Island to perfect tropical weather for the start of their tour. Guests loved the opportunity to unpack once and settle into their rooms for an 8-day immersive adventure.

Sunday morning, it was off to the markets to browse the local arts and crafts, followed by a visit to picturesque Emily Bay for a dip, a wander or just a peaceful sit by the tranquil waters. In the afternoon, the group was joined by a local guide to learn about the islandโ€™s Polynesian, Convict, and Pitcairn Island history.

Fletcher's Mutiny Cyclorama, an amazing 360-degree panoramic painting, gave guests a feel for the Bounty mutineers and their story, while the Island Life tour gave an insight into the intricate nature of modern-day life on the island. The Progressive Dinner is a Norfolk Island favourite, with guests being transported to several island homes for different courses and different family stories.

A visit to Norfolk Islandโ€™s first Lavender Farm showed the challenges the owners had to overcome to build their business. The group visited the remarkable Pitcairn Settlers Village with its original homestead, abundance of historic artifacts.

Some of the group embarked on the 3.5 kilometre bushwalk where local guides pointed out the islandโ€™s unique flora and fauna, followed by a BBQ breakfast.

A tour of author Colleen McCullough's home by one of her former housekeepers was an eye-opener, as was a stop at the stunning Saint Barnabas Chapel. Returning to Emily Bay, guests boarded a glass-bottom boat for a glimpse of Norfolkโ€™s fascinating coral reef and its inhabitants.

The Taste of Norfolk Tour gave everyone the chance to meet some of the islandโ€™s food producers, and the popular Island Fish Fry served freshly caught fish and tasty local dishes along with live music and local dancers.

The tourโ€™s farewell dinner was a chance for everyone to become a convict for the night and enjoy a rollicking good floor show. Some last-minute shopping and a cuppa in town, and it was time to board the flight back to Brisbane.

Our Funstars flew into Adelaide for their 10-day Coastal Explorer tour, including the Sapphire Coast, Great Ocean Road, Mt Gambier and the Limestone Coast. Our opulent โ€˜Diamond Classโ€™ coach whisked them away in style for an overnight stay in the city. Departing Adelaide, the group embarked on a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Naracoorte Caves and their fascinating limestone formations.

The group travelled to the stunning Blue Lake and Umpherston Sinkhole, then onto picturesque Port Fairy for a guided tour before heading to Warrnambool. Guests took to the skies bright and early for a scenic helicopter flight over the Twelve Apostles, London Bridge, the sandstone cliffs and Bay of Islands.

The big Diamond Coach easily traversed the Great Ocean Road with its amazing scenery before arriving in Lorne. The next day, it was off to Geelong and the Dandenong Ranges for a private tour of the magnificent Cloudehill Gardens. Passing through Traralgon, the group arrived at Lakes Entrance for a two-night stay.

A leisurely cruise was next on the itinerary, past lovely scenery heading to Wyanga Park Winery for a sumptuous lunch, paired with local wines. The views kept unfolding the next day as guests enjoyed the drive to Eden on the beautiful Sapphire Coast and a visit to the 85-year-old Killer Whale Museum.

The following day, the group arrive at Batemans Bay for a delightful lunch cruise along stunning waterways brimming with wildlife. An overnight stay in Wollongong, then a relaxing drive taking in the breathtaking coastal views along the picturesque Sea Cliff Bridge, before landing in Gosford, followed by Bulahdelah, then onto Port Macquarie for the groupโ€™s last night together. Heading home via Coffs Harbour and Ballina, a tired but happy group arrived back in Brisbane to reflect on a fabulous tour.
