The paper arrival card is on its way out for international travellers entering Australia.

The Federal Government is rolling out the Australia Travel Declaration (ATD), a digital system replacing the paper incoming passenger card for all international arrivals, with the new digital cards expanding to international airports across Australia over the next 18 months.

Once in place, international travellers will complete their arrival declaration online rather than filling in the paper card on the flight or in the arrivals hall.

The changes are designed to streamline passenger processing, improve data collection and support a faster response to events like global disease outbreaks, all while maintaining strong border security.

Abercrombie & Kent has unveiled its Kitirua Plains Lodge. Set beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, on a 128-acre private concession bordering Amboseli National Park, this lodge sits in elephant country where wildlife roams freely.

Thirteen Maasai-inspired suites sit low in the landscape, curved walls and fluid rooflines echoing the terrain and exteriors that blend into the soil so the buildings settle into the land rather than sit on top of it.
