The second bedroom layout is a fantastic option for families with a teenager or grandparent joining them as it has a Queen bed plus a set of bunk beds for any younger kids.

When it rains, we pour - but when gale force winds are forecast, we don’t pour in The Cabin. ⛈️

Due to the severe weather warning for Sunday 20 July and the pop-up/outdoor nature of The Cabin presented by Shelter Brewing Co. we will not be opening the space on Sunday 20 July to ensure the safety and comfort of all.

Our friends at will still be open to satisfy your beer needs, and Cheese Toastie Battle ticket holders will have a super cosy space to enjoy the event in (check your email if you have tickets)

The Cabin remains open as usual for Saturday 19 July until 9pm 🔥

Each cottage has a covered verandah with an outdoor setting, and guests are often seen relaxing outside while watching the birds and the resident free-range chickens. We’re just a leisurely stroll from the Visitors’ Centre, shops, bars and restaurants. With its affordability, easy accessibility and convenience to all of the region’s delights, Peppermint Brook Cottages is highly regarded by many visitors who return again and again. Coin operated laundry facilities are available. For the young (and young at heart) we have a large fully-enclosed trampoline and a Goalrilla Basketball system. We provide a simple “starter” breakfast comprising cereal, milk, bread, orange juice and tea / coffee. Otherwise, this is a self-catering property.

All 8 cottages are of brick and iron construction and have 2 bedrooms, a shared bathroom, sitting area, dining facilities, fully-equipped kitchen and covered front verandah (with outdoor setting).

6 have a queen-sized bed in the main bedroom and a queen plus double bunks in the 2nd and the remaining 2 have a queen-sized bed in 1 room and 2 double beds in the other. Where 1 or 2 guests book, it will be assumed that the booking is for a single or twin / double and the 2nd bedroom will be locked. If you require the use of the 2nd bedroom for any reason, extra bed charges will apply.

Throughout the cooler months, electric blankets are supplied (for all beds except the bunks); and we also supply a hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
